May 22, 201311 yr Great vig and I also love all the comments, It's reminds me about the Pepsi vs coca cola discussions, it will never settle but for me I hope Lego will go with flesh in all sets & the mini figure bags, that would be great. Once again great build.
May 22, 201311 yr Thanks for a good laugh I am honestly a bit divided in the yellow-vs-flesh debate...I used to totally scorn the fleshies, but after seeing so many great MOCs with more realistic color schemes (for example by DC) I am beginning to like the fleshies more and more. I suppose it might end up the same way as the light grey-light bley transition for me...it took me almost 10 years to start buying lego again after the change of color palette but now I think the old grey colors look bad and try to avoid them. So far I've got far more figs in yellow, but I like that the fleshies in general seems to have more elaborated expressions vs the more "kid focused" yellow faces (excluding the CMFs). May 22, 201311 yr once again, i'm giving away all of my fleshy heads, hands and torsos, in exchange for lets say two or three orc heads from the fantasy era! Edited May 22, 201311 yr by kabel
May 26, 201311 yr I personal don't mind flesh faces specifically for a couple of reasons. 1) It allows me to differentiate between different kinds of people (for example, I make vampires/witches/demons appear to have the peach flesh color. 2) It allowed me to make all three of my sigfigs (all of which are black). Personally, I think Lego needs to make more tan and black flesh faces just to add some differences. Among those faces, we could probably use some tan or black female faces (or just some more female faces in general). I had to laugh at this build because I basically did the same thing with my LotR/The Hobbit minifigs.
