May 4, 201311 yr This is really an outstanding MOC. The combination of plates in different colours gives it very realistic 'bricky' appearance. Because of the green surrounding it reminded me of a St. Pancras Church, London, at first glance. Did you model it after any real church or is it completely a brainchild?
May 4, 201311 yr Author Thanks all for very nice feedback :) And some answers: No ther is no interior. I don`t like build something that I can`t see. No, this is any real church. I always try to build something real, but always finding something too difficult to build and I`m building with my ideas. Yes, I think my fingers will die after removing this all plates :D Thanks once again.
May 4, 201311 yr Beautiful!! The colour is striking and I love the details especially the surrounding walls/paths/trees etc (and of course the scaffolding and hamster!!) Definitely one of the best churches I've seen.... Excellent work!
May 4, 201311 yr Wonderful build as everyone has said but I have to ask how you managed to get the trees that thin to stand up? I have trouble getting ones with thicker trunks to stand up without bits falling off of them, I imagine that a simple breeze would blow those over. Any trick on the strong tree building would be good, Having said that the scaffold must be quite strong to take the hamster, I know they are not that big but compared to a mini-figure it would be like sitting a fully grown elephant on real life scaffold! Still a wonderful blend of plates to get that perfect brick look and a wonderful surrounding. Surely this one will last abd not be taken to bits again, it looks a bit to good for that?
May 5, 201311 yr Author Wonderful build as everyone has said but I have to ask how you managed to get the trees that thin to stand up? Trees are made from that mixture: And bars, clips and leaves. They looks very fragile but are quite strong.
May 5, 201311 yr A beautiful church that's settled so well into its surroundings. Your use of plates to represent the brickwork takes this MOC into scale model territory and there are so many lovely details I don't know where to begin.
May 10, 201311 yr Really beautiful Church!!! With all the surroundings it makes a beautiful display, congratulations!
May 10, 201311 yr This is really insane! SO impressive. Well done to have made something in Dark Red we don't see this color so often!
May 11, 201311 yr Wow.......Thats all I can say........ I like the scaffolds! (and the monster attack! )
May 13, 201311 yr I've been on holiday and haven't read the forum in a while, and this has to be the single most impressive thing that's been posted while I was away. I absolutely love it - the colour combinations and the plate-built walls make it incredibly realistic, and that steeple is gorgeous. Add to that the very nice scaffold, the beautiful footpath and a lovely fence, and you have something truly extraordinary. Will you be bringing this to any events? Like, say, Skærbæk in September? I'd love to see it 'in the brick'. (And as you can probably tell, I did enjoy it, so salvation is near.)
