Torgar Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Garack Ruins located 40 Miles east of Cedrica Marcello: You all received my letters and agreed to meet me here at the ruins of Garack? Excellent. Kathytin: Of course we agreed to meet you, we owe you our lives. We cannot thank you enough. Marcello: Don’t thank me. Thank the Varlyian warlocks that were able to transform you from your elemental remains to your human forms, but not now. There will be time enough for that later. I asked you to meet me here with your strongest rebel companions because I believe we have a chance to corner and defeat Victor Revolword. I have received intelligence from a very reliable source that he is currently visiting Vesper Castle. He is in search of The Secrets of Immortality, an ancient text. The black mages living in… Ragnar: Oh, get to the point! We don’t have all day. Marcello: Very well, we need to storm Vesper Castle, which is located in the center of a swamp in the valley just over this ridge, and bring Victor Revolword to justice. Owain: Easier said than done… Kahzoul: It may be easier than you believe. Vesper castle may appear to be a stronghold, but it was built in a much more peaceful time, which means it has weaknesses. Kathyrin: Weaknesses we can exploit. It was foolish for Victor to come here. Marcello: Exactly, What would you propose as the best course of action? Ragnar: You mean the plan? Marcello: Ah… well, yes. Owain: Well by the looks of it there’s only one entrance, so to get the maximum number of troops into the castle we would need a small group to sneak in and open the gate while the main force storms the only entrance. Ragnar: I like it. I’ll lead the main force. Owain: I’ll be right beside you! Kahzoul: And I will lead the stealth mission along with a few of my kin, we will open that gate! Kathyrin: Once we breach the gate we will have to fight Victor. Kaliphlin scholars have been researching the source of his power and they believe it lies in his staff. Ragnar: So if we destroy his staff, we destroy Victor? Kathyrin: Not Victor, just his source of power. It is believed that he somehow transferred the powers of the Helm of the Druid Head Priest into his staff. Once it’s destroyed, he will be easily defeated. But the staff is not easily destroyed, It must be struck at its weakest point, just below its handle. Ragnar: Gah! I hate that helm! Kahzoul: We all do Ragnar, let’s not speak of it... It is decided, we will attack at dawn. Let’s tell the others. Marcello: … well that’s the plan, any questions? Asteron: How do we know we can trust you? Victor has killed many of my fellow Minotaur. We must be cautious, there are too few rebels left. Kahzoul: That is exactly why we must take this gamble, it’s worth the risk. We can trust Marcello and his companions, they are the reason I am standing here today. Ragnar: Be ready at dawn, we attack at first light. Vesper Castle As dawn breaks the attack commences. Owain and Ragnar leading the charge. Kahzoul sneaking in to open the gate Victor Revolword and the Hand of Corruption defending Vesper Castle. The Throne Room Victor: Friends! Welcome to Vesper Castle, I hope you find your stay most excellent. Owain: Spare us your pleasantries Revolword. We are here to bring you to justice. It was foolish of you to come here. Will you come quietly, or do we have to persuade you? Victor: I AM THE KING OF HISTORICA! I answer to no one. Marcello: Ah yes, this is what we the people like to call a rebellion… revolution if you will. We are here to take you to trial so that you answer for the crimes you have committed. Victor: Ha! A trial? If it’s a trial by combat then I accept. Fetch me my cloak Rellik. Rellik: Yes, my lord. Ragnar: You could not best a single warrior here, old man! Victor: Ah you forget so quickly, or has the frozen wasteland you call home slowed your mind? No matter, you will be my opponent, and I will make an example of you. Ragnar: Nothing would please me more! Kathyrin: *whispers* Be careful Ragnar, and remember what I told you about the staff! Ragnar: Well, let’s get on with it! Victor: As you wish. Ragnar and Victor engage in a fierce battle, but Ragnar slowly gains the upper hand and is able to break Victor’s staff. Victor immediately drops to the ground and begins to beg for his life. Victor: I yield! Ragnar: All this time it was your staff… You expect us to give you your life? Rellik: Not on my watch! (He quickly chops down and beheads Victor Revolword where he lays) Victor will be reborn more powerful and terrible than before! All of the onlookers are stunned by the suddenness of Victor’s death. Soon the members of the Hand of Corruption lay down their weapons and surrender. The reign of Victor Revolword has ended just as quickly as it began. The threat to all of Historica has been eliminated once and for all. Or has it? To be continued… Build 1 design Quote
Legonardo Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 really cool! love the first build and interior! good luck! Quote
SkaForHire Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Wow. Just Wow. That window is amazing. And the first build with the whole vista, incredible. Great job. Interesting twist at the end there too. Quote
robuko Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 3 fantastic builds there Torgar! I love the epic scale of the interior scene, and the throne is just superb, as is the use of colour and contrast. The switch from the mini FP to full scale Vesper Castle is so clever. I like how you tied the 5 guilds together and put your own guild in the hero role, but in the end it is Rellik. Why does he surrender though? Great entry Quote
MikeyB Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Three epic builds! great stuff. in fact when I opened this thread i let out an audible "Whoa!" Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Magnificent, truly magnificent Why you don't have the MOC expert badge yet it is beyond me. Vesper castle is brilliant and I love how closely the microscale matches it Majestic throne room as well Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Great job man. I love that you built the castle, then built it again in micro. The angles on the castle are very cool. I also like that you can tell where the throne room is located due to seeing the windows on the outside. Very nice. Quote
kabel Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 the castle, the throne room, the ravine, everything is so beautiful! I also like quite a bit that you try to include Varlyrian mercinaries as well! Quote
Kayne Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Wow, that Micro is absolutely perfect to the larger scale version. I also like that Victor sits upon the Iron Throne Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Most impressive builds!! For the most part, I love your building style. You have an extremely clean, very detailed style. I'm very upset that you have so few views. Your moc's are amazing. Quote
Maxim I Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 My mouth was open for almost 5 minutes when I saw your castle for the first time. And the reason is thanks to the excellent micro you made of it in the previous pictures!!! And your copy of the Iron Throne is simply genius!!! Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I'm very upset that you have so few views. Your moc's are amazing. Don't stress Beery!! Good builds and builders will eventually get theirs! Quote
de Gothia Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Beautiful indeed Torgar! The FP is looking so good! Have to take some inspiration from that! The great Iron Throne is epic! Well done! Only nitpick from me is the name of your topic. Should have something more than just ChIV? Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Only nitpick from me is the name of your topic. Should have something more than just ChIV? Yes. A regulator could totally change that if you knew what you wanted the title to be! Quote
Torgar Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 Thanks guys! I really appreciate all the comments. Only nitpick from me is the name of your topic. Should have something more than just ChIV? Yes, it should. I wasn't sure what I was going to call it when I made the topic, and I forgot to add it before I posted it... Yes. A regulator could totally change that if you knew what you wanted the title to be! It would be great if you could change the title to "Challenge VI, Taking Back Historica" Quote
Garmadon Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Fantastic builds, Torgar! I like the perspective in the first build, and those giant stained glass windows ! The throne is well done to (I guess Victor likes a lot of weapons handy ). Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Most impressive! A great collection of mocs all built with nice details and presentation. I really like the fact you also brought back te original hero's, as I always thought they should play a part in bringing Victor down. Excellent work, looking forward to seeing more from you! Quote
Gideon Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Definitely one of the best entries, three excellent MOCs! I think the microscale miniscale(?) castle in the first was a brilliant build, I don't think I've ever seen such a detailed fp background. So many nice details in all three builds to be inspired by as well. Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 It would be great if you could change the title to "Challenge VI, Taking Back Historica" Done and done Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Absolutely stunning. It's all very good, but I love the throne room the most. That massive window and the throne realy excel. Were does Ragnar's torso come from? Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Excellent job, as Ecc said the throne room is stunning! Your other builds are great as well, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that brought back the adventurers! Quote
Mike S Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 As usual Torgar, top notch work on all the builds. Simply awesome! Quote
Brickington Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Great display of work here! I love the mini castle and then you built the actual castle is amazing itself! Looking forward to seeing more from you! Quote
