Morten Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I just got an answer fro Airport transfer, they said 120 Euros for 4 persons each way, i mailed back taht we would only pay 160 Euros in total, lets see what they say. To rent a car (VW Fox) for the 3 days is 175 Euros without gas (20 Euros), that could do as well, but then there is the risk of getting lost etc., that is no problem with airport transfer. Last option is train, Sne can you give us a hint on what train you will be abble to catch? Morten Quote
Hobbes Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 To rent a car (VW Fox) for the 3 days is 175 Euros without gas (20 Euros) You mean 20 Euro per person? Cos 20 Euro altogether will get you about 15 liters worth of gas in Germany and with a car full of people and luggage you'll get as far as the next street corner with those 15 liters ;-) Quote

Morten honestly, 120 euro for a cab should be fine; i'm willing to spend 30 euro on that.... otherwise we'll have to take several trains and shuttles and stuff. in a worse case scenario we'd have to wait for the train to arrive as well, so in the end you'd be traveling from the airport to gunzburg for 2 hours and more with our bags... better to just take the taxi at the airport straight to the hotel. my guess is that it'll take something between 1 -1.5 hours max; even if it is 40 euro per person... Morten Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 We must wait and see what KimT and TT say. About Gazoline as far as I know a VW Fox goes around 17 km/liter, and the trip is 110 km x 2 = 220 km = 13 l gazoline, and a liter af gazoline is 1,33 Euros, that mean 17 Euros of gas. Now getting lost on tha autobahn gives us an ekstra 12325 km of driving!!! Maybe taxi is the best idea? Morten Quote

Morten Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Good plan, I will try to bargain with the guys, don Quote
Morten Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Hi KimT, TT and Snefroe The guys at airport transport would not change the price, the price is still 120 Euros each way. The car could hold 5 people so if we could get one more person, that would reduce the price for the 4 of us. Shall i book the transport? A regular taxi was around 180 Euros, so that is not an option.
