charlesp1138 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Hey everyone look at the newbie! After recently leaving my dark ages, I thought the best way for me to get back into the LEGO world would be slowly by learning some of the new techniques that have come about since my childhood and applying them to an old favourite. I'd love to actually build this thing to go along my actual Yellow Castle, but I just can't justify the 300$ cost. Quote
Artifex Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Hi there and welcome! LDD is a very interesting way to do some Lego building and I wish I had more time to use it. But if you are just out of your Dark Ages, I have to say: Just go to the nearest store and buy the Lego set that you like best. Then go home and put it together! There's nothing like the smell, the touch, the feel, the joy of a new Lego set! As an alternative, check ebay and buy that one set that always put a shine on your eyes or the next best set you always wanted. If you don't feel like or don't want to spend a lot of money, start with the smaller sets than build up for the bigger ones. Used or mint, it doesn't matter -- there's nothing like a Lego set waiting for you! EDIT: Nice castle, by the way! Edited May 8, 2013 by Artifex Quote
Watchman Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I like your modernisation of 375 in greys and blue, a nice twist, and well executed. Quote
Nefarious Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Welcome! :D Great castle! But if you are just out of your Dark Ages, I have to say: Just go to the nearest store and buy the Lego set that you like best. Then go home and put it together! There's nothing like the smell, the touch, the feel, the joy of a new Lego set! Truer words were never spoken. :) Quote
