lightningtiger Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 If all goes well today I should have the forth storey completed except maybe the gym equipment but we'll see. Still wondering if this should go any higher or not ? Keep watching......still sounding like a CD with a scratch on it eh ? Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Still need more window parts and gym equipment too...... Keep watching ! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I have spotted a obvious problem, the lack of a lift/stair case to get between levels. You could build a glass fronted lift and have that off center in the building. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Thanks for the advice 'Alasdair', but there is a reason no lift.....I designed this as if Lego would have at least to some part designed it themselves as a set.....note the lack of tiled floors on the inside. Hopefully tomorrow the fourth level will be completed......keep watching ! Quote
LAKAbricks Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Hmm... It's beginning to look really convincing as a big glass and steel office building. If it's going to be even taller, I think the building should not be a box, but with different "levels" either horizontally or vertically. ... If you understand As a classic style builder, too, I don't mind the lack of stairs, lifts, toilets or walls behind the building Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Thanks 'Iaka', yeah if I did one more storey...it might be just a services floor.....i.e. air conditioning and mobile phone tower....oh, yeah perhaps a billboard......better keep watching everyone ! Quote
Artifex Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 It looks better and better, LT! K-e-e-p-o-n-b-r-i-c-k-i-n-g! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 I shall keep going, gym equipment today......4 treadmills and a workout floor going in......er, it's to do with cashflow.....spent 124 bucks yesterday on 60026 to join this structure.....dam, I might have to build some other buildings......hmm, a department store sounds good ? I've been bitten by the classic town open back tall buildings bug ! Keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Fourth floor completed.....but still more to come. Keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Will it ever end? :O :P Truthfully, this building is nearly complete.....only some roof work to go now......but being bitten by the tall building bug I have so this might not be the last of this kind of MOC from the tiger......better keep watching eh ? Quote
HayHay Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Great job! I really enjoyed watching your MOC. Thank you for sharing. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Thanks 'HayHay' for your kind words, I still need to get some parts to finish off the top of this building......keep watching. Quote
Wedge09 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 only some roof work to go now...... ....and an antenna high 20 bricks as the ones over the skyscrapers Nice work  Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Thanks 'wedge09' and 'monsinjor' for your kind words......a mobile phone tower is planned among a few other things plus once I get some fresh batteries for the camera I'll show you how it looks with town square included......I have totally been bitten by the city building bug now and since I don't need New Mannum till 2015 I can shelve it so my Lego City creations can flow forth. So keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 I promised an update and here it is.......and I'm not finished......better keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 I was wondering what everyone's thought on the subject of what structure next to join the above scene......a humble construction site or a full blown department store ? Quote
The Jersey Brick Guy Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Full blown department store! You can always have the construction site working on the addition to it! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Okay, but how tall....same as my multi-storey ? Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Wow Tiger, I love your ceiling lights and your photocopier! Clever building technique! Quote
tomdobs55 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Wow the tower looks great! Whats with the "SNOT" bricks in front of it though? Planning a sign? Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Thanks 'LT12V' and 'tomdobs55' for your kind words.......and yes, once I have designed a sign it will go on that piece out the front of the building. In the next few weeks I will start designing a department store, though I'm not sure modern or old fashion frontage ? Keep suggesting and keep watching too ! Quote
eurotrash Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 It looks great LT. Have you considered relocating the Bike Shop to the left of the Multi-story? It's got a very similar architectural design. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 That's where the parking garage is going - note the Octan mini shop on the left ! Keep watching ! Quote
