I have Set numbers 79111 and 4436 and I'm not sure what other set can go great for the Lego City NOR the Lone Ranger Train, I'm not too worried about getting the Complete City one but I'm more into completing my Lone Ranger one first

I'm so not sure if I should get the town one or the mine shootout it's confusing the hell of me right now if I get the town one it would not be best for the Train Chase set that will be the stagecoach one to get.

I'm so wanting to have more Lone Ranger ones before any other set.

Personally, I would get the mine shootout, it's a fantastic set with lots of brilliant details and playability features. Also you get lots of good parts such as the big treasure chest lid and the brown slide.

I have both the Colby City set and the Silver Mine set and while I like both if I could only have one it would be the Silver Mine. I have only the Train left to grab of the LR line and to this point the Silver Mine is my favorite of the bunch by a long shot.

Hello

I am a lego batman fan and am looking to get either the batmobile two face chase or the batcave, ( hopefully both in the long run), but which should I get first?

I would go with the Batcave first as it is a better overall set with better figs. I have both and of the two the batcave was the better build as well other than the batmobile the rest of that set is pretty generic in my opinion. Plus and lets be honest you will have nowhere to park the batmobile if you get it first.

Hello, I have already gotten the Grand Emporium set because it was recommended on this topic.

I have recently been thinking of putting 10214 Tower Bridge as a long-term goal. Earlier on, I didn't think I would get this one because of it's high total price and because I'm focusing on my minifigure-scale town. But I was recently thinking that Tower Bridge could be a good investment as a parts pack. Even though I have bought Lego sets for years, it still seems very difficult to build anything of significant size (probably because of too-many specialized parts). Brick Yellow is my favourite solid colour in Lego, so I thought that this set could be a good way to boost my collection of this colour for casual building. It has a great price per piece, but high total price, so I might try to get it on a USA trip to save money. I would probably build the model first, but it would be very difficult to dismantle it (I saw it displayed in Paris recently on my vacation). Does anyone here have anything to say on buying this set for the parts?

Which of the modulars is the best choice?

My first modular building was the Pet Shop, and the Grand Emporium was the only one that I have gotten since then. I think that the Pet Shop is a good set for your first modular building, because the inclusion of two building lets you try the modular function of it. The Grand Emporium is a more tiring build better suited for collaborative building. I have built many different types of sets for years, and the modular buildings are the only ones that I have any slight amount of difficulty building. They are very good looking models when built.

Okay I've looked at the set number of the mine it's 79110 once I get this I'll use it within' my Lone Ranger Train Chase brickflim (it's a total remake of the Train Chase scene)

Which Buildings would any of you recommend? Out of all the current items

All of the modulars are a fun build. I suppose I'd put Pet Shop at the top of the list. With that said and if you can afford it, get Tower Bridge while its still available. Lots of pieces and when finished its quite impressive.

6866 or 6867? I really like the truck in 6867 but I can get 6866 for $2 less. I like the copter but not as much as the truck. I really want Wolverine and Magneto, as well as Iron Man, but I don't really care for Deadpool, Loki or Hawkeye. Anyone have any helpful insight?

Hey guys, real quick before I go to town: Republic gunship or Jeks stealth fighter? I want em both pretty bad, the fighter has Awsome figs, but the gunship is my favorite ship/model....

I'd say go for the gunship. If you can afford it, it's a must-have. You can always Bricklink the figs from the starfighter.

You can get Iron Man in much cheaper sets eg. the Iron Man vs. Mandarin Showdown, and I think he's in a polybag, so I'd say buy 6866. Wolverine and Magneto are exclusive to that set. On the other hand, if you really like the truck design, you can go for that and Bricklink Wolverine and Magneto.

I have both but perhaps I'm the wrong person to ask because I _like_ both of them as well. It's a bit like asking is chocolate ice cream better than coffee ice cream (assuming you like both flavors equally in the first place). Personally I'd give a slight edge to 6866 because (and these are purely personal issues) a) I was always a big Magneto fan, b) there's a fair amount of dark red in the chopper and I rather like that color for MOC'ing purposes (the black and dark bley are pretty useful too), and c) for it's size, it was a pretty good build. Things that did nothing for _me_ were Wolverine's motorcycle and an abundance of flick-fire missiles - been there, done that, not a selling point...

The truck in 6867 was not bad but it reminded me of builds I'd done several times before in various Creator 2-1 and 3-1 kits and really didn't feel like I was breaking much new ground. Still, its a nice model, nice build made from eminently MOC-able parts. The figures weren't a big selling point for me because I already had the 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle so they seemed largely redundant (of course if I didn't have 6869, I'd probably feel differently).

This isn't so much a 'Which set should I buy?' question, but more so a 'Should I buy this set?' one.

The set in Question is the 7600: Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle. I have found a place in which I could get hold of it for just £14.00, which is round about 30% off the RRP. Do you gentlemen think that I should take up the offer? I can't guarantee that the price will stay this low for much longer - but I'm not yet sure whether or not the set is worth it even with that kind of discount.

Thoughts?

I'd definitely go for it, but just because of the minifigures. The question you should ask yourself is whether you're willing to spend the money to get the 3 minifigs and then a rather mundane boat; if that's good with you, buy it.

Will I ever get a response on my post? It's a "Should I buy this?" question, about 10214 Tower Bridge (mostly for parts).

Liam32 - Go for it! I don't have mine built, but the pictures I've seen look great. As far as parts go, it seems to have a nice collection for modular building. The part price ratio is awesome for 4000 pieces.

Thanks, I'll probably pick it up if the price stays low for a little bit longer. I do love the minifigures very much - especially Killian's exquisite beige suit! As for the ship; well, I can always cannibalise it in the name of MOCing if I'm not impressed with it.

Should I go for Pre visulas mandalorian fighter?

I definitely would, it's a very lovely ship.

So I'm not usually a Technic person but these 2 in particular caught my eye because of the playability with the Power Functions:

8110 Mercedes Benz Unimog which retails for $250 in Canada, but can be bought at $190 + tax from Costco. Yes I do have a membership card.

or

41999 Crawler Exclusive which is also $250. No discount, but I guess I'll have to use my $30 worth of points on this one set, making it slightly cheaper at $220 + tax.

Both seem awesome but both are quite pricy. The Unimog is cheaper and perhaps the better deal it seems but the Crawler is quite exclusive. As well, while they both have the power functions, the Crawler uses the power functions to be basically an R/C car while the Unimog uses it for "only" the arm and winch (albeit both are quite cool, particularly that arm).

You do realize the 41999 is no longer available for purchase at the Lego site or store right?

The unimog is a good purchase. Lots of good parts, and the model is huge!

At one of the Lego Stores in my area it's still available.

EDIT: Well, seems like you're right, the second shipment of the 41999 they got just sold out within the last couple of days (was still available when I called in last week)....they said to check back in about a week to see if they're gonna get anymore shipments of it.

Still, my question is still between the 2 sets until I can confirm I can't get the 41999 for sure.

If you can get 41999, then do so. They're both great sets but 41999 has had a very limited run, whereas the Unimog will probably still be available for a while yet.

I've been wanting to get the 8109 for a very long time after I missed the chance to get it during its life cycle, and finally found a deal to get one. But I also have a coupon that allows me to get the new 42008 for the same price. What should I do?
