Benny's spaceship or Ultra Agents HQ or Chima Phoenix?

Benny's Spaceship is among the best sets Lego has ever made. It stands head and shoulders above the others.

Ultra Agents HQ is a great set. Lots of play. Cool design. No negatives

Pheonix Temple is... Strange. It's a building that turns into... A flying building of some sort? If you are really into Chima, maybe. Otherwise wait for it to go on clearance.

Thanks, Hive. The set is definitely mostly for me. :) I just throw in "playing with my kids" because the image of a 30-something sitting on the carpet having battles with LEGO sets may or may not be socially acceptable ;)

Knowhere Escape Mission, X-Men vs. the Sentinel, or Daily Bugle Showdown?

Tough call.

X-Men V Sentinel has the far better main build. The nice swooshable X plane that seats 4 figs. Plus some truly awesome figs.

Knowhere has some fantastic figs, particularly Rocket Racoon, Groot and Nebula. Rockets mining pod is a great little ship. The rest of it is typical playset scaffolding.

The Daily Bugle is a cute set. A nice classic City style building with neat bits of detail inside. J Jonah Jameson, Nova and Dr. Doom highlight the set even if they are a bit cartoony. The Doomcopter is meh. Best to be said it beats the Spider copter.

Knowhere Escape Mission, X-Men vs. the Sentinel, or Daily Bugle Showdown?

The X-men set is amazing! It's probably my favorite Marvel themed set to date. It eschews the 'play feature' heavy designs of most other sets, and delivers a solid model for the Blackbird (really, a lovely ship), and tosses in some fantastic must have characters. Magneto, in his 80's 'I'm not a villain' garb, with appropriate hair (and a helmet, although it's not accurate to the costume). Storm is fantastic, with a soft felt cape that attaches to her wrists, as it shoud! Wolverine is in my personal favorite costume of his. Cyclops is...Cyclops. He's just as dull here as he is in the comics.

The only beef I had with the set is that the Sentinel feels on the small side at first. I think that's more due to having built too many extravagant mechs in other sets. It is, though, appropriately sized for a Sentinel and grows on you quickly.

Knowhere Escape Mission, X-Men vs. the Sentinel, or Daily Bugle Showdown?

I don't own any of those sets, but I know that of the three, X-men vs. the Sentinel is the most highly praised. The Daily Bugle set would fit nicely into a City layout, if you're building one.

Knowhere Escape Mission, X-Men vs. the Sentinel, or Daily Bugle Showdown?

I own all three of them, i think you should go

1st Daily Bugle Showdown

2nd X-Men vs. the Sentinel

3rd Knowhere Escape Mission

Daily Bugle and X-Men are pretty close, choose whichever you prefer, or optimally buy them all ;-)

Hello, I'm trying to decide between, 70400 or 850888 Which one do you think is better?

70400 offers much better value IMO. Whilst 850888 offers more minifigs, it doesn't have a substantial build like Forest Ambush. Perhaps get 2 of 70400 if you can.

Now... Tumbler or Town Hall?

IMO Town Hall.

Now... Tumbler or Town Hall?

I own neither of these, but opinions seem to vary on both. I've read on Brickset and elsewhere that there is no steering system for The Tumbler and that it is also delicate. That makes both of these basically stationary models, as expected.

That said, I find The Tumbler to be a unique and beautiful model. Its looks have people divided but I find it more interesting than the Town Hall. Even with the higher piece count it still looks plain IMO. There are some who don't bother with piece count anyway.

So I'd say Tumbler over Town Hall. How about Tumbler or Orthanc?

I'm stuck between getting either the Kashyyyk Trooper BP, or the Utapau Trooper BP as a little gift for a friend. Could anyone steer me into the best direction?

How old is this friend? Kayshyyk if he's older. (More of a display piece) Utapau if he's younger. (He'll be able to have them battle.)

You may regret whatever you sell off down the track - so i think you have to make the decision yourself.

This said, OT is classic Star Wars goodness, where Clone Wars and the Prequel trilogy are not.

Some of those sets (e.g. Clone Turbo Tank, Arc-170) can be used for other things, so perhaps just get rid of a few CW sets.

Haven't bought LEGO in a couple of weeks, and I want to spend some dosh. What purchase would you recommend?

1. LEGO Star Wars 75050 B-Wing

2. LEGO Star Wars 75038 Jedi Interceptor and LEGO Star Wars 75041 Vulture Droid

.. I don't know really. If you have any other cool set in this price range tell me! I do have all the Marvel Superheroes ones (not SPider-Man but they suck)

I'd say 2. You get more figs and the ships are cool. I haven't seen 75050 in real bricks so I can't give you my opinion on it.

I ended up getting a set for my birthday that I already have, so I'm about to have $90 in store credit. I'm torn between the following options:

1. Town Square (60026)

2. Custom Pickup Truck (42029)

3. Emmet's Mech (70814) + Cargo Truck (60020)

4. Cargo Truck (60020) + Auto Transporter (60060) + Logging Truck (60059)

The Town Square and vehicles would end up going straight into my City layout after a few mods. The Technic truck and the Mech would be display pieces. I'm kinda of leaning toward the Town Square because its the oldest, but I have no use for the bus or the crane (other than parts). Any thoughts?

I'd go for Emmett's mech. It's very unique and freaking huge. The build is fun enough and if you like the movie, the minifigures are good.

I agree that town square would be another good one because of the age.

Hey all, I'm on a holiday in Canada at the moment,

I very luckily have got $100 to spend and wanted a bit of help with choosing stuff..

I got Ghostbusters the other day and defiantly need to get Knowhere escape to finish my Guardians, I'd also like to get at least 1 PaB cup, I think in the end that leaves me with bout $40?

Thanks all,

Sand

40$, you say? Get the 'Flying Flusher' from the Lego Movie set! It's a really fun build and who doesn't need a plumbing van for their city? :D

Anything in mind?

I was thinking the exo-suit but don't think it's available?

I thought that was only $20? Will certainly keep an eye out though, thanks :)
