I love the buildings in the Monkie Kid sets but I certainly won't get the sets just for those.

That said, I did get the Hidden Side Shrimp Shack recently, on a big discount, even while I wasn't planning to collect Hidden Side, it's still a nice building with a non-possesed option.

I tend to wait with buying sets, for non-exclusive sets, I'd rather wait and get sets 20-40% off compared to day 1.

Even for exclusives on LEGO.com, VIP points aren't enough incentive, so a Gift With Purchase is usually a deciding factor.

Yeah, thankfully the Monkey King Warrior Mech is something I really want, so that cool building will definitely be mine. The other one, with the panda store...might be mine. I love the Shrimp Shack, glad I found it on a slight discount. It’s really all that side stuff that is stopping me from buying the Donut Shop Opening honestly. The crane & toy store should’ve been left out and instead added to make the donut shop bigger. That is what is really stopping me from buying it, unless I can find it on a big discount. I found Capital City for 40% off...otherwise I wouldn’t own that either.
