Which set should I buy?

Due to me getting some unexpected money I'm able to rework my holiday plans. Should I get a 6207 A-wing Fighter or two 7668 Rebel Scout Speeders? For a note I have the dark green A-Wing and one Rebel Scout Speeder already. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I own both and would have to say, get the A-wing, it's a beautiful ship, totally swooshable and the little technician extras are great too.

Yeah, I agree, The A-Wing is probably better. The Rebel BP is just about the figs, and those will probably be released again in future sets, maybe even with improved helmets. The A-Wing on the other hand is one of the coolest ships and would look great next to his green brother. :wink:

So, uhm, I just lost over 20 pounds in the past 2 months through hard work out and I got $100 from my mom as a reward. But I'm not sure what to get. I'm torn between the RGS, Venator, and Ahsoka's JSF together with the Solar Sailer. The RGS is a great set without a doubt, but it has been out for over a year and will likely be discontinued, which means that there is a good chance that it will go on sale soon. The Venator is good too, so if I get that one now and the RGS later on sale, I will have both by the end of the year. The Solar Sailer and JSF are very neat sets too, but also very overpriced. Since they are LEs and very popular, they might go on sale soon too. Therefore, I think the Venator would be the best choice right now, especially if I can catch it for a good price on Amazon. What do you think?

EDIT: Never mind. I decided to go for the Venator since it was 18% off on Amazon.

I do love the troopers but their helmets are so loose on their heads. The troopers I have now aren't in good condition either. The A-wing will add to my fleet of ships and I love the yellow boarding thing. The dark red will mix better with my other ships than the dark green. It really is a tough desicion.

Well, I'd take the A-wing, but it's good to have ground troopers too...

Right now I'm leaning towards the A-Wing. I might be able to buy one BP before the holidays. What do you mean by "improved helmets" Oky? I really like the ones now and they'd look very stange with the others. I'll need another A-Wing if I have to crash one into Excutor.

I just got Medieval Market Village. It seems like a great building has windows/doors, round bricks, lots of 1x# bricks/plates, slopes, and from other people's mocs tiles for modularity.

I just ordered Creator Beach House and Creator Family Home. They have baseplates too.

It seems that mostly bigger sets have lots of those pieces. And Creator.

You think Green Grocer is worth it to try to "castle" it? Maybe I should get the Winter's Toy Shop too.

It might be a good idea to make GG medieval since it already kinda looks like a castle. The Toy Shop could pass as a blacksmiths shop too. It would fit in with MMV more than GG IMO.

Well, Cafe Corner has been around for a couple years, so I'd recommend getting it soon before its' gone. MMV has only been around a year. I think it has at least a couple months left, if not a year.

That's a tough choice. I'd have to say ADU for the awesome figs.

8037 is about 57 dollars here and 7669 is 42.

I own both of these sets, and the 7669 is good, but if he is an experienced builder, he might like the 8037 more. At least I do.

Go for the Y-Wing, its a great kit.

I would say go for the y wing because you get ahsoka with it and it looks to be a lot sturdier than the starfighter (which I have btw).

Yes, it is. Plus you get CW style R2-D2.

Even though it is alittle more, I think it is better than 7669 imo.

Huh... I'll have to admit, my view is a little lopsided, as I don't have the Y-wing. However, Anakin's fighter, while smaller, is still loads of fun. Personally, I think the smaller sets are always easier to swoosh, and therefore more fun to re-inact certain battles.

Thanks for the help. I think i go for 7669 if there is any left, its look more easy to "fly" with. And i did check the price again, its about 28 dollar cheaper here. So i can give him a small extra set with some droids if i go for that one :)

I prefer 6086 over 6090. And that you list 10000 tells a lot about you, it is classy. Like 6086.

3739 is the one set I am angry I didn't get. And the prices today are horrible, even if the pieces are not that special. Would go for the 10000, still enough money for the 6040 to add. Perfect combination. And for the castles, well.. what do you think about 6086?
