I've been wondering this for awhile, but when will we be seeing some of the CMF accessories in official "regular" sets? Excuse me if I'm wrong, but some of these accessories would be great in various sets. I'm mainly a city builder so I've highlighted mainly those that are relevant for city sets. Some of the things I'm thinking of are the skis, ice skates and snowboard from series 2 and 3 would be great in the winter village sets. Or the mechanic's tool box from series 6 would fit right in with any city garage or gas station. The syringe from the series 1 nurse would be nice in another ambulance set. I know we've seen the surfboards pop up in at least one creator house, but as far as I know its the only accessory to make an appearance in anything other than a CMF packet. Any idea if/when some of these parts will become more readily available? If this is the wrong forum, could a mod please move it?

The microphone piece has appeared in many sets, along with the Spaceman's Phaser and the Nurse's syringe.

They get used pretty quickly as the themes allow. Alien Conquest had a lot. Lone Ranger had quite a few. LotR and the Hobbit had some. The surfboards have shown up in the summer season polybag. Some pieces seem very commonly used (alien ray gun has shown up everywhere.) some seem more specific. A lot of the non weaponry city type stuff also gets used in friends sets.

Yeah like I said I pretty much only build city and haven't really looked at friends much. But now that I think of it a lot of those pieces make perfect sense for friends.

I wish! The kind of civilian parts I want are things like the lumberjack's axe and mechanic's toolbox. There have been plenty of opportunities for these elements to appear outside the CMF with no luck.

Hopefully someday I guess.

The skis have been used in the winter sets, but I'm not sure about the poles. The fishing pole and pretzel have shown up in sets. More food is always welcomed. I really hope the roller skates show up, they are really well done.

I bet if TLG made a parts pack of these they'd fly off the shelf. Like tomdobs55, I only build city-related, and could definitely use many of these utensils, just not at the price they're asking on BL :classic:

That's what I'm saying the BL prices are so high that it makes it very difficult to purchase them. Not to mention that I can't even seem to find the hockey players stick or bagpipers bagpipes in the catalog

Skies yes, poles no. LEGO is pretty good about re-using CMF parts, but (as with the ski poles) some of them wouldn't fit as well (because of their incredible detail) with the other sets.

However, I do think there is likely quite a list of sets that have appeared in and out of CMF packets. But admittedly not many of them have gone into city.

The ski poles actually have appeared in set 3316, the 2012 Friends Advent Calendar (in a unique color, even), but this set was produced in quite limited quantities; the poles are probably more common from the so-called collectible Minifigures than from this one set.
