As a Civil War buff, I am excited to see the set "Cavalry Builder Set," which has Union soldiers.

I was wondering if there were any sets (official LEGO only) that contained minifigures that could be used as Confederate soldiers. i.e.

I've actually been wondering the same thing. I have a few of the old Western soldiers I use for the Union soldiers from time to time (although now I'm going to try to get a few of those cavalry sets ), but the closest I've gotten to Confederate soldiers were the German soldiers from the Indiana Jones sets, which are sadly tan, not gray, and the torso prints are off.

Those do seem to be the only purist solutions, though the middle one is a female torso.

For the non-purists, there is a custom decal retailer on bricklink Kingdom of Custom Creation that does Civil War designs. They go beyond the general army look to include some rank uniform differences. They do have strange alternate variations, though. This is a Canadian retailer that only takes Paypal.

If I remember correctly, the first grey kepi was on a rockraiders fig, that could somewhat pass as a confederate, but I could be wrong.
