Frank Filz Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Really? I never knew that...Hi there Frank! Do you still have this MOC? Because I have some ideas that might make it look like a decent cutter/longboat. No, but it would be easy to rebuild. Frank Quote
ghoulrealm Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Has anyone considered the Clikits sea shells and star fish pieces. I was waiting for a set to show up at a local store so I could have a look, but it looks like it's never going to happen. I'll have to bricklink them if they are not too expensive. Quote
oo7 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 'Big Daddy Nelson Y-Bros-K' has made a Piratical MOCBOX utilizing a clickits shell. Also a Clickits Jupiter. Belleville also has some intersting bottles that I believe will be released in gold in the new Hogwarts. The Belleville dish is another great piece also used in many systen sets nowadays. The Belleville shovel is kind of nice too, but it only comes in yellow. Quote

Athos Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Does this hull piece come in brown? Obviously I could look for myself but that would be too easy X-D No it does not! Are you sure? There was a larger row boat in the Adventurers Amazon Ruins set. I think it might be that one in brown. Ooops, guess I should have read the second page... Steve Quote
Wout Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I like these for buildings www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2039 Quote

Or maybe I could "paintbrush" it :-D Quote

Right, there is a brown larger boat, but it is not the same part as that orange colored one. Quote

El Bucanero Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 There are also red lamp posts in one of the HP sets, the Hogwarts Express: And here's the Bricklink page. Mr Tiber Quote

Indeed, they would be useful for both. And since I plan to build an Napoleonic city, they will be useful anyhow. I'll try to include some in my next BL orders. I have made some good progress on my governors mansion. Pictures will come soon. Thanks for the BL links! Quote
Gen. Knowledge Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Hello, Are there any current sets/themes that have lots of pieces that could be used to build ships and forts? Maybe the Vikings, Castle, or Indiana Jones. I want to start buying classic Pirate sets, but they are just too pricey. I'm looking for some alternatives to Bricklink. Thanks. Tony Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 6, 2008 Governor Posted September 6, 2008 We've already got a few threads on this topic you might want to check out... Alternate LEGO pieces for Pirate treasure and Useful Fabuland and Belville pieces I think there are a couple more but I can't remember their names at the moment. Quote

jamtf Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Let's see. There is of course the Indiana Jones line with a couple sets with some useful elements: 7624 Indiana Jones Jungle Duel (contains cutlass) 7627 Temple of Akator (contains skeleton with conquistador helmet, cutlass skeleton heads and native warriors) Castle line: 7036 Dwarves Mine 7040 Dwarves' Mine Defender (a cheaper set) 7048 Troll Warship 7979 Castle Advent Calendar They all contain one or more useful pieces. To mention are the beards on the dwarves and the civilian lady (Advent Calendar). The Troll Warship set contains of course parts that can be used for making ships, etc. such as hull pieces, masts, barrels and a small rowing boat. Since the Viking line is merely out the door, it ain't worth mentioning since I do not consider it a current line anymore. Same goes for the Aquaraiders Shipwreck set. That set is history and already becoming very hard to find nowadays (in toy stores). It is however available on the internet of course. I might have forgotten other sets but this is what I can come up with. Quote
Capn Frank Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 How about some sweet looking bottles of perfume rum! I've bought a few in my most recent B-L order and was going to see if they'll be closer to MF scale than the Flask. Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Thanks guys... to show these super nice parts... keep them coming... Quote
Omega 8 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) How about some sweet looking bottles of perfume rum! I've bought a few in my most recent B-L order and was going to see if they'll be closer to MF scale than the Flask. These were included with Hogwarts in "Pearl Gold" *Sorry no larger pics of the gold set* http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID...amp;colorID=115 Don't forget the "Belville Wall, Door 1 x 4 x 11 1/3 Arched Top" Edited January 23, 2009 by Omega 8 Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Loads of nice parts to use I see, I'm ordering some bottles if I can find some. The silver bucket would be nice too. Thanks for the info! Quote
Athos Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Don't forget the "Belville Wall, Door 1 x 4 x 11 1/3 Arched Top" I wish there was an arch (beyond that onepiece belville arch) that would fit that door... Steve Quote
