Posted May 17, 201311 yr While doing my regular lunch time hunts of local Targets and Walmarts, I came across LEGO Monster Fighters 9467 The Ghost Train for $15. I have not touched much Monster Fighters but at that price I could not pass it up. With the June wave of LEGOs soon to appear, now is a great time to check for clearance specials.
May 17, 201311 yr I think it was only a $70 set here in the US, but still at $15, it is quite a steal. One local wal-mart around me had all of them on clearance, but not at that price. I think the ghost train was still at $50, the castle was $70, and the rest were close to half off. I bought a second mummy set for my daughter, but I couldn't justify buying second copies of the entire theme for her, even with those good clearance prices. I went back not too long after and all of them were gone. I wonder if they will do another MF wave for next Halloween. They already covered a lot of the monsters, but they may have some tricks up their sleeves.
May 18, 201311 yr What! I'm not a huge fan of MF, but that's a steal. Wonder if my local Wal-Mart has that deal....May have to give them a call/visit.
May 18, 201311 yr Author Whoever discounts LEGO at the NW Expressway / Council Walmart in OKC does it stepper than any other place I have seen. I once bought the PotC London Escape for $25. The Walmarts seem to decide locally on when to discount and by how much.

May 18, 201311 yr Picked it up at a Tulsa Wal-Mart for around fifty bucks last night. Not as impressive as the discount Blakstone got, but I'll take it.
May 19, 201311 yr The one over by 71st and lewis has good sales. Got the bounty hunter ship for $30. I was glad because I wanted the set but didn't want it for 50! Hey Obsidianheart there is a guy in BA selling current sets for 20-30% off. I bought Batman and 2 face chase for $33! I saw it on craigslist.

May 19, 201311 yr Man..i wish, Nothing from that series is on sale yet...toy r us has them for 20% off, no big savings there. Just going to have to wait and see.
May 20, 201311 yr Author The Penn and Memorial Walmart in OKC has the Ghost Train for $54 and the Vampire for $24 or $25. There were seven or eight of the Ghost Trains and two of the Vampire sets.

May 24, 201311 yr The nearby LEGO store here also said they were going to discount all but the Haunted House. I think to move them from the shelves since it is discontinued. I would pick them up if you can. They were a fun theme.
