Hey

I built a new MOC for LCC and want to share it here with you. Sorry for the crappy pics, I had to take them with my small digital cam.

So here's the MOC:

8754213934_27c20e3cc1.jpg

Backgroundstory:

Some time ago, when the three Kingdoms of Roawia made an attack on the Magic Isles, Ryath and a bunch of his men tried to capture the "Holy Necromancer Rock". But, not as expected, they totally failed. As soon as the Necromancer came up with some magical fire, they cried and each run in a different direction. But the Loreesi weren't as stupid as the Garhims... with catapults they managed to kill the Necromancer from a distance, where they couldn't reach them with the fire.

After taking this place, they demolished the hocus-pocus house and put a strong, robust and sturdy tower on it! The Garhims were jealous and they knew that the rock was now only protected by some foolish Loreesi. This spured them to attack and get what belonged to the only true faction, Garheim. But it didn't end that happy for our dear friends from the north, the barbarians... ;)

In this Global Challenge we had to "rebuild" something that was done by someone else before. It was totally random which build you have to recreate and I got this awesome build by AK-Brickster

Oh, and don't forget this LINK, thank you .

Oops, that was the one to the Guilds of Historica subforum... Never mind, just check it out !

Have a great day!

Nice MOC! I really like the towers' stone work. The color combination looks very good. The swamp (It's a swamp isn't it?) is also a great and beautifull touch.

I like the use of different colours for the tower, the tan against stone looks great!! I also like your work on the hill, the slopes are done very well!

The swamplands look great, I like the use of the trans green and the flora in it look natural

Your swamp looks incredible and I love the path to the tower  The tower itself is gorgeous, the 1x1 round plates add a great texture  Superb posing on the Garheim figs as well, they'd better move quick or they're gonna look like their friend

I love the landscaping. Very fitting. I really need to get some of the trans green plates/tiles.

The tower looks great. The color scheme works, but I normally wouldn't go with it. But it works here.

The set-up is great. The boulder rolling down the hill is very clever.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks man :classic:. And yes, it's supposed to be a swamp , this is just my favourite type of landscape...

Thank you. I also wouldn't go with it usually, but dark bley wasn't an option, since the whole rock was that colour, so I didn't wanted to use this and with the combination of not having any sand green pieces it was obvious that I had to make it with tan . Also it gives a little bit a "Loreesi-look" :classic:.

Very cool MOC idea. I love the rock rolling down, flattening all soldiers in it's path. My only criticism is the rock looks like it could easily fall off the ledge since there is no wall or "lip" holding it on track. I'm also not crazy about the bright colors and turbans as I usually associate them with more a desert setting as opposed to a tower in a swamp, so they look a bit out of place in my mind, but that may just be me.

I first had a dark brown wooden rail there, but it looked much better without it... Of course it would fall of now, but who cares about realism?

Concerning the figs: They are desert people  and just built a small watchtower there.

Really nice work

Thanks man! :classic:

What about just raising the side of the ramp a little on the outside? I know realism isn't a huge deal, but the bolder hanging over the edge and JUST magically turning a corner really makes me feel like that rock is about to fly off the ramp rather than flatten more soldiers, lol.

First of all, I do like the tower. I also really like the swamp area/technique used there, very pleasing.

I also love the minifigures running from the stone. It really adds to the feel.

Now on to what disappoints me. This is a LCC build (totally cool to post them here of course) and you guys are all offering some great feed back and comments. Buurli is also a Historica member and none of you guys commented on this MOC which was for his challenge VI entry right here in the Guilds of Historica subforum... on Eurobricks... hello!!

I noticed the Guildies don't venture out here to comment much either, so perhaps it is a two way street, but seriously, check out some of the builds in the subforum. I will emplore the Guildies to get out here and comment on MOCs as well, but come on! Some of the best builds out there are a click away in the Guild of Historica subforum and ya'll are scared to go in there!!

Nice build with a good action feeling! I also like the swamp very much, good job achieving a very organic feeling win all those different green nuances and details.

Good job also promoting Guilds of Historica with a LCC build ;)

Great job, the swampy look is great, as well as the rockwork! Also love the smooth transition from rock to brown up on the top... something I'm not good at!

Thank you Gideon. I somehow felt wrong posting a LCC build on Eurobricks, so I decided to add a GoH link in the end of the post ;).
