In fact, after hearing the sets aren't doing so well I am gonna ramp up some Rebels purchases I missed out on so much since I only got back into LEGO just a bit over a year ago. In the meantime I eagerly await the rest of the season and hope it ends as well as season 2 did. Every bit adds to the lore that is the Star Wars tapestry. Quote

What was the point of Sabine then? Even side characters are falling apart. Jeez I can't wait now that this 2 episode arc about an irrelevent character has ended, they'll be able to focus on Thrawn plotting his next plan to let the Rebels escape. Who the heck is writting this? She will be back. Also the last 2 episodes involves Thrawn finding out where the rebels are and attacking them before they attack Lothal. And then the second part is where help from a unexpected people come and help which is obviously the mandos. Quote

Incredibly chunky dialogue, poor new voice actors, suddenly appearing never before mentioned relatives, completely non-threatening enemies, new relative seems like he'll betray family but then doesn't because he actually does believe in family honor, hero takes merciful approach and is then almost killed by villain who betrays their merciful approach but is saved by another intervening hero who kills villain just in time. Just god awful. And then Sabine leaves? Because now she can't be the one to unite Mandalore for some stupid reason. What?! Garbage episode. Quote

And what kind of dog shit plan Saxon just did when he changed the deal with the Wren? He got up there with what I'm assuming an escort of 4 dog shit mandos and threaten to take their daughter? While they offered 2 of the most wanted Jedi criminals the empire is after? You are really sure you have the high ground there buddy? Jesus Christ. That ending really sealed the deal with the blaster shot: I wouldn't have been mad if Sabine was shot dead, this would have enticed some kind of emotional drive for the rest of the crew, but no, bad guy dead, I must leave now to not become their leader, ''what are next''. I can't wait to see how they are going to mess up Thrawn, because apparantly he's only given something to do in the opening and finale. This show is the definition of frustrating at the moment. Quote
Forresto Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) Thrawn is following the writing style of Timothy Zahn which consists of plenty of foreshadowing and set up. Dave Filoni LOVES Thrawn so i'm convinced if any character has an awesome and well done arc in this series its going to be Thrawn. The finale should therefore be incredible. The important question is whether this season is intended to be the end of Thrawn's story with the intention of flushing his life out in reverse such as with the upcoming Thrawn novel, or if they will leave his fate open to future books or even make him a two season villain. Honestly Thrawn is a character I would really enjoy seeing as a two season villain. Primarily so we get another mini figure with an accurate rank plaque but also because he is the most fascinating villain on this show so far. Tarkin is always fantastic but he's not mysterious as we know him. Darth Vader is the same as Tarkin. Governor Pryce and Konstantine are all straight Imperials. Kallus is interesting but i'm convinced he's not long for this universe. Thrawn though is not of the Imperial mold as even his accent is outside of the typical British and American range we hear in this franchise, and for me has made season three, even the subpar episodes, absolutely fantastic. Captain Nemo Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Utterly spectacular episode. So good...and my baby lived! Kallus keeps going strong! The spy style of the episode was very well done, and the threat of deaths really kept the tension up. Also can we talk about that crazy first person start to the episode? I don't believe that's been done before in Star Wars film media (unless I cannot remember), but at least not to that degree. It almost seemed strait out of a horror movie; a great way to show the inner turmoil within Kallus, especially when looking in the mirror. On other things: Spoiler I second Forresto; can we get a series from the Imperial perspective? It's just so incredibly intense and interesting following Imperials around. There's so much intrigue and sly remarks. That would be a very engaging show. I never noticed how much Kallus walks with his hands behind his back. Now I noticed he does it too much. That said, Kallus stealing the identification cylinder was very slick, as was his seamless (well except for Thrawn) execution of framing Lyste. Also Pryce killed Rex's ass. "Aren't you a little short for an Imperial Officer?" Has Thrawn been given the location of the Rebel base? I think the show is suggesting that Ezra and Kallus are to blame--it won't be hard for Thrawn to notice something off after a longer look at the map, and then to see which planet was deleted from the list... I agree, that what was one of they great things about the Clone Wars, we always got occasional episodes/story arcs cantered on the Sith. The Episode was excellent, it was incredibly tense and there were various points I thought Kallus was really going to get it. I also loved Thrawn's "Sherlock Holmes" deduction style towards the end of the episode. I think what was also great about this episode is it finally explains why Thrawn was letting the Rebels escape in the 1st half of Season 3: he was using all the hyperdrive and flight paths to track down their possible locations. My only nitpick is that why in hell didn't they beam pulled the escaping shuttle ( there was 3 ISD in the area ) and it was too short :( Quote

He's gone from the kind of guy that would angrily kick a subordinate to his death to key rebel spy rather quickly, especially since his only motivation seems to be realising he doesn't actually have any friends in the Imperial side after he got back to his lonely quarters after being marooned with Zeb and being cold-shoulderd by Admiral Constantine. I guess Thrawn will either realise which planet the Rebels' base is from the deleted record or get it out of Kallus. I do wonder why they substituted another planet though - that will obviously be important somewhere down the track. I also found it amusing that no one decided to stop the Rebels escaping in the shuttle at the end. Maybe it's all part of the masterplan but surely it would be more efficient to capture and interrogate some rebels to get the base location then to keep letting them get away. Also did the Chimera troopers have unique unit symbols on their pauldrons? Quote

It's also on the sentry droids in Thrawns hallway. It's actually based on the creature named Chimaera. He was tracking their hyperspace routes which makes a LOT of sense. Why take the Ghost and kill everyone on board, which would scatter the rest of the rebel cell, when you can get them all at once.
