legomuppet9 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 The detail on this ship is simply mind-boggling! Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 (edited) I am again in the news . The RPA 15 is off the cover on a magazine (De Thuishaven) and a article inside. Edited July 6, 2013 by VFracingteam Quote
weavil Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 You are a master of your craft! Wise one indeed! Wish I had all of those parts to build with! Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) After 38000 liftarms, pins, plates, bricks and tiles, i am almost there. I have only design and make the big crane and some small details and put the stickers on and make good studio pictures of it, and then it's finaly finished. I hope you wil like the progess. Doc_Brown Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Just breathtaking! OT, did you make that chair? Looks like a car seat with wheels. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Thanks to you all for the nice reaction's Quote
PsyKater Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Great chair! :D But the ship is great as well of course! Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 The chair comes from a Volkswagen Transporter T5 and i make wheels under it. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) I build today the crane and have only change the 2 black tile clips in LBG one's and later on this week i get all the stickers in house and have only make good studio photo's of the ship. The ships bell is a real copper plated cone. Edited July 21, 2013 by VFracingteam Quote
Darth Dino Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) Hi if the cone is covered with real copper then be careful. Do not touch it with your naked fingers. The acid on the fingerprints cause very fast oxidation of the copper. Within days your copper is black, without any shine. I suggest to paintbrush it with clear paint. Youmcan remove the black copper oxide once with a warm lemon acid solution. But this will not work for ever with thin copper films. Anyway your ship is amazing! Jim Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Again an awesome creation!! You surely are da man!! Quote
redoak Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Great ship. Nice chair you got there and that is why I think the chair for the cranedriver is a bit to low. Quote
