pocketmego Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Spars Stars heads, Bionicle and HF parts. Fun builds. Quote
DraikNova Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 The Inika-ish one seems a bit too hunched-over, but the colorscheme seems pretty accurate. The `Nuva` style one seems a little too grey though. Quote

The `Nuva` style one seems a little too grey though. The hunched issue was bothering me too. But, I realized it was actually an easy fix. That awful Stars head piece was the problem. By using a basic Mata head and then assembling in the correct Inika head mount (with a shorter beam for the smaller mask), it fixed the problem and he looks better. I'll post pics in a bit. Quote
The Mugbearer Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Please, stop these video-reviews, I do not enjoy your MOCs that way. Incidentally, I don't enjoy your photos either. Please, buy yourself a light-box at least. Quote

The Mugbearer Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Then why you ever bother yourself with posting your models when you are not seeking constructive feedback from users? And dude, with such an attitude you will not last much on this forum. Cheers. Quote

Your comments have neither been constructive or friendly in tone. As for my attitude...it is what it is. Well, what you want me to do if the only concern about your MOCs is obviously bad methods of showcasing? How I suppose to give you more criticism when you have unbearably bad quality video reviews and you take a photos of your MOC surrounded by your other MOCs? My unfriendly tone is a result of irritation caused by those methods. Edited May 23, 2013 by -N13OS- Quote
pocketmego Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 Yes, I realize this. I have commented in the other topic. I think perhaps we are on the wrong foot. I apologize, I respect your opinion (despite my angry comment earlier) and I wish to move forward in peace. Quote

Also from reading these few posts, his unfriendly response was in reaction to your rude post. Whether his pictures and videos are the worst you've ever seen or the best, it doesn't warrant a comment like this. Please, stop these video-reviews, I do not enjoy your MOCs that way. Your nasty comment started this argument, please let my comment be the end of it. Quote

VBBN Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Not to fuel a fire, but as a friendly suggestion pocketmego, I would recommend you to take some pictures of the MOCs you build and post them in your first post. Youtube ideas are a different idea, but what many don't realize is that by just posting a link, many people are going to skip over your MOC. It's the same situation with people who post links to pictures instead of deeplinking the pictures in img tags, people just don't want to have to click on them and go through that process. It seems silly, but I think if you supplement your video with pictures you will get more feedback and satisfy more people. With that said the MOCs are simple with nothing groundbreaking, though I do like the silver takanuva, it could be my nostalgia bias coming in but thats a different story. I think his original white limbs would look better as in his current state he looks like Kopaka nuva with a different mask to be honest. The inika form is interesting, though I wonder what he would be like if you utilized armor from jaller/tarix to make him have a golden scheme. It's an idea anyway. -VBBN Quote
pocketmego Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Thanks for the suggestion Vbbn. I was posting brick shelf photos with my videos and got no real increase in feedback. But, I'll look into it. Quote
The Mugbearer Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I would like to make an advise too: try to resize your pics in Photoshop or similar editor. The optimal width/height are 800x600 (or 600x800). =) Quote
