I was thinking the same thing. The barge's deck gun looks stupid with those ff's on it. The old one was really way more accurate. I should hope that part of the model is still prelim, too.

This wave is looking more and more dissapointing. I am not interested in the Barge one bit. The AT-TE looks the same aestically speaking, the RGS just looks like a combo of the first and second. Only think that i am interested in right now is JEK's ship. Oh well more for the LOTR wave.

The gunship looks good, specially considering that I don't have any of the previous versions. This is the set I'm most interested in for this year (so far).

Not a fan of the sail barge, but Ree-Yes is a must.

The AT-TE image looks odd, and the angle is not very good to judge the vehicle.

Yeah, same here. I'll probably order the stickers from the 2009 gun ship, and put the decal stickers on the sides. But Ree-Yes and Max Rebo, I'll have to order them off bricklink and re-build my old Sail Barge

The Sail Barge isn't that great a set, so I probably won't pick it up, or the RGS. The AT-TE looks OK, I'll have to wait to see the real thing before I make any decisions. The Advent Calendar is a must-buy, though.

With negative vibes about the second wave could it be Disney's involvement coming through or Lucas dropping the ball.....many of the new designs either lack something, poor design or it's just a rehash of something old ?

I actually really like the barge. I like the way they've constructed the nose of it. I think the set as a whole could be bigger though.

I'll definitely be buying the advent calendar, too many good things to pass up.

AT-TE and gunship are rather average, I'll be buying the figures but not the sets (Unless I stumble upon a good discount).

And what I like most about it though is five minifigures don't have - Max Rebo, Weequay, Ree-Yees awesome

Add that to Bib Fortuna, Gammorrean Guard, Oola, Boushh, salicious crumb (did not get Jabbas palace but did get the first three minifigures on bricklink)

Lando, Kithabaa, Boba Fettt, Luke (did get desert skiff)

Malakili, Rancor (did not get that set)

Thats a pretty awesome set of new or re-designed minifigures. Maybe add Tessek and that's every jabba minion I ever wanted.

Intent to buy the skip add Bib Fortuna, Gamorrean Guard, Oola (yeah does not fit but whatever), Cheewie, Han and a spare Jawa I have to create a pretty awesme sail barge and desert skiff set up

I'm surprised to say that I'm most impressed by the calendar, it looks like there's a few nice figures which will make it worth buying if I can get it with a small discount. I'm still not decided about the barge though.....

Oh man... I can't belive Lego couldn't find a solution for the Bubble guns on the gunship for ten years A half bubble again, Anyway the AT-TE is still great, but the Barge is awful IMO.

Do keep in mind that these models are still preliminary. If I remember correctly, the RGS model seen in the Yoda chronicles trailer had brick-built backs to the gun pods. That's probably what they will do in the final version.

The AT-TE looks interesting! I look forward to seeing more pics of it. I'm not liking the awkward knob above both of the middle legs however...

OK, so I see in that calendar:

Minifigures:

- Santa Jango

- Young Boba

- Geonosian Warrior

- Phase I Clone Trooper

- R5 Series Droid

- Scout Trooper

Vehicles:

- Slave I (EpII)

- Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter

- AT-ST

- Republic Gunship

- Geonosian Starfighter

- Zam's Speeder

- Some kind of shuttle...is it an updated verison of this year's Trade Federation ship?

- Bespin Twin-Pod Car

- At least one other grey ship to the left of the Scout Trooper I can't recognize.

So that's 15 out of 24 items that can be identified. I see a few other bits of kibble on there which I can't tell if they're repeats of what I've already listed, or something else. I assume that at least two of the other items will be 1) a Battle Droid (preferably in Geonosis red) and 2) a cheesy weapons rack. If they're going for full-on Episode II, I hope another Super Battle Droid shows up.

I think it's a good lineup. I was hoping for a mix of Episode II and III characters and ships, but I think I can live with this...except for the random Scout Trooper and Bespin car. That's what also cheesed me about this year's calendar: it was MOSTLY Episode I, but they threw in a few Hoth characters and one random Rebel trooper. Why not keep it all Episode I themed? Ditch the Rebel Trooper and replace him with either a Naboo pilot or security guard. I guess the Hoth guys made for some wintery-fun, but maybe we could have gotten a red-robed Darth Sidious and a Jawa to round out the Episode I stuff. Oh well. I'll probably still get it...when it goes on clearance, of course.

Someone who works at TRU in Australia reported on another forum that they are getting "X-Wing 10240" with no further details except a list price in their system of AU$279.99 and a possibility that its a TRU exclusive.

this seems much more realistic, and puts a rough piece count/size to it. If this more realistic suggestion is closer to home, i look very much forward to seeing what its like

That Aussie price suggests a US price @$140-180. Most likely 150 considering it's SW & a TRU list price.

Many of those vehicles and minifigs are stand in. At least the RGS mini, there's no way they make exactly the same one again. And I have no idea how TLG will put the geonosian's wings in.

The one good sign for TCW is supposedly Production has not stopped and the staff are working away on Season 6. So I think the betting currently is on it moving to Disney XD.

A brick-built frame of the bubble turrets would look so much better, giving the illusion of glass between the spaces. It doesn't NEED to be translucent plastic to match the source material (movies, cross sections) if that means they use a such a primitive half-bubble design. Same thing with the recent Gungan Sub, which would have looked way better with a source-accurate frame IMO.

Also, it's really time that LEGO built a proper aft section for the RGS. The past 2 RGS sets have been very inaccurately designed at the rear. The wing turrets aren't manned either, but actually rotating spheres suspended in a frame and controlled by the co-pilot gunner.:

Can anyone tell if the sail barge comes with those round transclear bricks like the desert skiff to give the apearance of it floating? Given that we got the skiff which lead to the sail barge, it could be possible that we will get an ewok village this year. The recent ewok attack set and endor battle pack strengthens the claim for the rumor to be true. I think it could most likely be a winter wave set.

After seeing the better pics of the barge it does look shorter lenght wise than the previous version.

They really outdid themselves on that figure, it's very movie accurate. That hairpiece looks great. Hopefully this is what the minifig looks like in the set.

Yes, the barge does look a bit squat this time around

I've compared it with my 2006 model here, and it is partly because the new one's "bow"/front slope section is less steep, and longer, thus taking up more of the barge's length.
