Sorry still too early for any info. The earliest we may have some information is mid-April.

In regards to the talks of a C-3PO, he's been a little neglected of late when you compare him to all of the recent R2-D2 appearances in sets. Personally I don't need multiple variations of him.

There's nothing but speculation at this point but in a previous post it was mentioned how someone guessed/predicted TC-14 as the promo minifigure last year. This year, he's talking about a Han Solo promo minifig. I really hope he's wrong this year. I've really taken advantage of the May the 4th promo and bought a good amount of sets the last few years. I'm really not sure if I'll spend as much if we're just getting a Han minifig.

Well thank you for clearing that up with me. I defiantly agree with you about the Han solo thing, there is no way I am spending money to get another Han Solo regardless if he has a different hair piece or not, I would much rather prefer a Dex or C-3PO from episode 2.

The E-Wing AKA stealth fighter is cool, I'm kind of annoyed that they've skewed the timeline with it tho.

I think Lego should take notes from Hasbro, and maybe start taking polls for fan favourites, in terms of things that have not yet been released in Lego. I'd love an official Outrider set w Dash Rendar and Leebo, Grand Admiral Thrawn's way overdue, Mara Jade's been in print for decades now, The Solo and Skywalker clans, the Yuuzhan Vong and the New Jedi Order haven't been tapped at all yet.

I'd love to see a Suncrusher, or an Interdictor Cruiser, or a Nebulon B.

Bear in mind that the majority of new sets are to tie in with current films or tv shows - we got lots of Clone Wars when it was the newest latest newest thing, and the upcoming wave of AOTC sets was supposed to be to coincide with the now-cancelled 3D re-release of that film. The reasoning should be obvious - kids like toys based on the film they've just seen in the cinema, and toys based on a current film will help boost ticket sales.

EU sets are always great for people like us who have a familiarity with it, but your average 9 year-old won't have heard of Admiral Thrawn or Mara Jade, unless they appear in Episode VII (unlikely).

Completely agree with you. My kids are 8 & 10 and outside what they watch on tv and see in video games, they know nothing. They both love Star Wars but they haven't gotten into any of the books yet. Maybe someday they'll be wanting LEGO sets from the EU.

For now, my whole family is excited for the upcoming sets. Really glad AotC is getting some much needed love. A lot of new clones for everyone to enjoy.

I don't think that a Han Solo minifigure for the May the 4th would be a good guess. We have already seen every single variation of Han made into minifigure form at least movie wise (If you don't count the space slug scene from ESB). My guess is that it's not even going to be an OT figure, last year we got TC-14 wich was a character that appeared in Episode 1, since this year's Star Wars sets seem to be very Episode 2 heavy, an Episode 2 figure would probably be more plausable.

If we were to go with an AotC character, I hope we get a Kaminoan. That would really be a surprise. However, I believe their long narrow body and neck would be hard to pull off in LEGO form.

I disagree. If they do something like the Classic Alien's head, but with a longer neck, or something like they did on Pythor, I think it would work. But I don't believe they would have a Kaminoan for May the 4th promo simply because it would require such a new mold.

Would love to see some SOTE sets as a fans choice, although those sets are too niche to be made in massive amounts. Not too sure how many people have read the Thrawn trilogy, the New Jedi Order or the Shadow of the Empire. It would be nice to see them but I doubt that will ever happen unless they appear post EP 6 in the new movies.

The May the Forth Be With You minifig is ussually either a new print or colorof minifig(Shadow ARF Trooper) or a new minifig that will never appear in any set, but doesn't require a new mold(TC-14.) So I don't doubt the rumors that it's a Han minifig for this year.

Regardless of what the promo minifig may be, I hope it's at least accurate to the real character; for me accuracy is becoming easier to find for Lego.

Perhaps the May the fourth Fig is a non CW Jedi? They already have the head Moulds but just not the prints. Maybe Aayla, Ki Adi Mundi, Eeth Koth or one of the many others?

I doubt it, this isn't very exclusive and would disappoint many.

Still hoping for Dex as EP 2 has a big presence, I have enough Han's; would be cool if we got an Ephant Mon to round out Jabba's palace also.
