Yes, unfortunately the LT is US/Canada only, as they are only leftovers from the giveaway.

At least I, getting a mini minivan to go with the minivan I ordered, should be here any minute :).

Got my reply from Lego:

I'm afraid this promotion is only available in America, and I can't tell you if we are going to have the same promotion here in Europe. I am really sorry about that!

So, that's that. If I were a betting man, I'd say that it'll appear over here like the White Mando and Shirtless Maul - free with purchase from toy stores. But I'm not a betting man, so if anyone's willing to help a Euro out, please drop me a PM.

I'm really impressed with the advent calender, Lego really have upped the game with it, they've stuck to two themes and given us some good models.

Following info has been given at Lego Ambassador forum from Jan Beyer:

"The LEGO® Star Wars™ Clone Trooper™ will be also used in a promotion in D2C Europe later this year."

I've mentioned and blogged Legend Bricks' review before; I think it's still the best, most thorough one out there so far. And it's written, text-based, and pictorial; I don't like video reviews in general. Always seem to be unnecessarily long and spend too little time or no time at all on the details, and I'd much rather read a good description and opinion than listen to what is usually someone giving me basic information of what's shown in a video. Plus I can read a review at my own pace, spending as much or as little time on each section as I want, and a well-formatted, written, and photographed review always gives me the impression of having had more thought and careful work put into it.

Hear hear! Hoorah for pictorial reviews!!

Agreed. As mentioned before video reviews have always been riduclously long and have always been more of a tour of a set rather than a review, also I've noticed in a few video reviews the reviewers general opinion of the set is something like " I like this set because you get anakin" or this is a good set, buy it because you get Mace Windu" or something along the lines of that. Not to say that all video reviews are like this only some.

I can't wait until the clone lietennant comes to Europe, I hope it's the SW version not the CW one.

According to Brickset, the US won't be getting Planets Series 4, but apparently Mexico and Canada will. :hmpf_bad:

Was worried this would happen. Been waiting a long time for the Hoth Planet set and its been out overseas for awhile now. What to do now....

We received word not too long ago that in Australia they will only be available on S@H. Some series 1-3 planets are still clogging up shelves, they haven't really sold too well. At least not as well as TLG had hoped I'd imagine.

I was wondering why I haven't seen the planets around here. I still see series 1 and 2 sometimes. I bought all of them and actually wanted series 4 the most. So of course they won't be available here...

Another bog standard battle droid. Useless! that Jango looks nice in a novelty kind of way and Boba looks good but apart from that there isn't much that can't be gotten easily from other sets. If they had done more themed figures like Santa Dooku and maybe other figures rather than a clone, an endor trooper. the scout is alright but this isn't worth £25 this year. There are better figures in sets for the same amount and slightly more expensive ones.

After building the attack gunship I must say that I am very impressed by the job of the lego designers. I was a lot bigger than I expected it to be and very sturdy. I especially like how the wings are held onto the body of the ship by one technic pole. Thus it makes it easier to remove for those wih space issues. The model is very sturdy and the handle is well hidden and not too distracting and makes it easier to play with. Aboge all those I love the vast interior space included. I have 15 clone troopers in the bay areas.

Hey guys,

I wanted to let those of you that have a LEGO store around you that if you spend increments of $50 you can receive multiple LT clone troopers per purchase. If you explain to them that you're going to buy, lets say $100 of Star Wars LEGO and that it would speed up the process at the checkout to just do it as 1 purchase rather than 2 then (the majority of the time) you can get 2 troopers.

Some will say no, others will say yes. 1 employee said that because they have boxes of the LT troopers in the back that they don't care how many they give out at once, as long as you pay $50 per 1 they give you.

I've been buying the battlepacks (25% off in stores right now) plus a few $20 and $30 sets, but I guess you could always try it with larger ($70 and $120) sets and see if it works. Hope this helps someone. (They also said that when it gets to the end of Oct, they will try and get rid of them, either give them out per $50 of anything or sell them individually. They also explained that at the end of Oct if you purchase, say, the Ewok Village, they would divide the price by 50 and give you that amount of troopers if they have any left).

I imagine what those people feel who bought these lieutenants for hundreds of dollars from ebay after the Lego event and now it's available at S@H :sceptic:

I'd rather think of what those people feel who didn't have the hundreds of dollars to bid on a single minifigure on eBay and now have another chance to get it much more reasonably from S@H. :classic::wink:

Argh! How reliable is that information? I'd like to be able to hope it's erroneous, but if it's not I'd rather know sooner than later so I can act accordingly.

It's pretty definite. We have heard it from a number of sources.

Argh! Any of them official LEGO reps?

Never mind; I've just asked TLG's customer service. I'm hoping to hear a "sure, they're just delayed" -type answer, but I'm not terribly optimistic.

Blast it, I know someone who just returned from a visit to the UK, too. I'd have asked her to pick some up for me if I'd thought they weren't going to be released here...
