Legoman123 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) I love the set but to be honest I'm a little disappointed about some of the minifigures. I think this would of been a perfect set to include at least one force ghost in, but you can't get everything and besides there is plenty of time to get force ghosts like in Yoda's hut. P.S here is a link to the pics. http://www.fbtb.net/2013/06/01/10236-ewok-village-revealed/ Edited June 1, 2013 by Legoman123 Quote

KazeMonsuta Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) I did not know Luke changed his hair colour in this scene. :D Maybe the Ewoks have a hair colour expert. I actually like that they included the trooper helmets to play drums on. Wonder how stable the main part will be. I can imgaine that there can be a mess, when you push something down really hard. Has the 'hammer trick' of the Ewoks also been used on a speederbike? I only recall them smashing an AT-ST with it. The variety of figures in Star Wars has already driven me crazy, so I'm happy to have stopped collecting. Some nonsense features like the place to hang the lightsaber and the 'Ewok slide' (that's my name for it) may add a playfeature for kids. But wait, how many kids will get this set under the christmas tree? We will see... Edited June 1, 2013 by KazeMonsuta Quote
MaceWindu Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I'm disappointed about absence of jedi ghosts... But the new ewoks're great! Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) Looks fantastic. Now the saving up commences. Oh what joy. But it is money worth saving up for Is there any release date as of yet, or is that to be announced Edited June 1, 2013 by AudiBobaR5-D2 Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I'm impressed by the design and high minifig count......you can either display it or play with it......my son might just want this.....if he does, ouch there goes my wallet in September ! Quote
wesker Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Looks absolutely amazing! Amazing details, great minifigures. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect set. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Disappointed? Really? I think that is a beautiful looking set! Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Absolutely stunning This and the Tower of Orthanc have to be the best s@h exclusives in ages Quote
ISDAvenger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) The write up said September, but no exact date. My question would be is the September release date apply to US or EU? Hopefully its the US. Looks fantastic. Now the saving up commences. Oh what joy. But it is money worth saving up for Is there any release date as of yet, or is that to be announced Overall I am quite impressed. I plan on picking up at least a couple of them. I like the new rendition of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Overall a very cool set with interesting features. Wish they would ugrade Chewies face though, poor Wookie could use some eye balls. Edited June 1, 2013 by ISDIronClaw Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Had no expectations for the Ewok Village and with it finally being revealed, it only confirmed that this will definitely be an easy "PASS" for me. Especially at that price point. Quote
DrasticPlastic Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Ewok village and summer wave released - what a day! Quote
The Kid Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I still haven't picked up the Death Star, and now I probably never will. This has a far more interesting design than a big grey ball and complements the other Endor stuff well. Love it. Time to start saving! TK Quote
Lobot Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I'm finding this difficult to admit, due to my rabid hatrid of all things ewok, but I'm really quite impressed by this set! It's just a shame that the trees aren't a bit taller, and well like trees, but I guess that was wishful thinking. I'll probably grab one as soon as I see it on sale. I still don't like the new Biker Scout design, too much printing & black for me. I really hope that they do a new landing platform & dish to compliment the set, that really would look (and I don't often use this word being in my late thirties) awesome!!! Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 This build if I buy it could take many months. I have to admit though, that at a £200 price tag for well over 1000 pieces is in a way worth it. Now if only the price drops about a quarter hehe Quote
The Joker1 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 What? The picture I saw said 2,990 pieces not 1,990 I hope that's wrong or it has shot off my wishlist. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 No AT-ST :( But they even have the logs! Well if you have Battle Of Endor from a few years ago.....bang - one AT-ST......would need exploding trees trunks though ! Gee, might have to dig up my BoE set and restore it. Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Do you think that 10236 is worth it because of the pieces Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Do you think that 10236 is worth it because of the pieces More for the fact of the design and exclusive minifigs plus fingers crossed that a major retail chain ends up with it as an exclusive and then puts it on sale.....that would be awesome. VeggieWokker Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 That's everything I expected it to be, will be a first day purchase for me. Quote
cavegod Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 So does that mean this thread is finished now? LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors?? Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 So does that mean this thread is finished now? LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors?? I wouldn't have thought so until later this year, but not too sure. I hope not just yet Quote
ISDAvenger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Blame it on your source lol. What? The picture I saw said 2,990 pieces not 1,990 I hope that's wrong or it has shot off my wishlist. Could be. If I am not mistaken the winter line was released in January timeframe of this year. Unless they plan on complementing the fall release of the Ewok Village with other sets. So does that mean this thread is finished now? LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors?? Quote
legocaptainrexfan Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I wish there were ghosts because this is the only set in which we could have got Anakin and yoda as a ghost. Any way it will take me 2 years to get this if I start saving now. Quote
