So does that mean this thread is finished now?

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors??

Fortunately, no. There is usually a brief discussion for the Comic Con Exclusive.

I must say, I'm not too impressed with this new wave of sets. It looks like TLG put all their effort into designing new minifigures, instead of concentrating on designing good sets. They even went as far as to reuse previous incarnations of those sets. Look at 75015 and 7748, 75016 and 7681, 75019 and 7675, and 75021 and 7676. :hmpf_bad: However, I must give credit to the Ewok Village. It's a little pricey though. :sceptic:

It's not really new with this wave. They've been doing the new minifig thing for a while now, and I think it makes sense. CMFs have proven (what we already knew) that minifigs sell sets. The collectors still buy the sets because the want the new minifigs and extra vehicles, and the MOCers will also buy the sets because they don't care what the sets look like since they're going to part out everything anyways.

Is it possible for the first post to be updated? One of the new sets isn't on there (the CW set with Obi Wan undercover) and piece/minifig/price details are available for many but not posted. Thanks guys.

After seeing the Ewok Village, this wave looks really bad. While there are some great figs (Yoda, Tyranus and Jango being my favourite), the sets themselves are just slightly modified versions of 2008 sets.

Hmmm. I recall LEGO mentioning making a LEGO Star Wars 4 game for 2014. Did anyone consider that it could be about The Yoda Chronicles?

I thought it was going to be about the Clone Wars, and the Yoda Chronicles is too short for much to be made outof it.

Should this not be in recent purchase thread

Not really, because now we're hunting for the sets. Reporting that he found them is perfectly all right here!

If you see a post that you think is in the wrong thread, please use the Report button so a staff member can move it to the appropriate place as soon as possible.

...and as it turns out, you're both incorrect. Discussion of availability of sets - where you found them, how much you paid for them - belongs in Star Wars sets anyone?. (But remember when posting there that ranting about pricing has no place in any thread on EB.) I'll move a bunch of posts over there in a moment...

Yes, but we do not know where LEGO will go from here.

New tv commercial:

Suprised they didn't Advertise the Republic Gunship, but I assume we'll get another commercial with the Gunship and the Duel on Geonosis set together.

By the way, the sets are up on the American Lego Star Wars page now, but there now up for purchase on the at Legoshop.com, so I guess we'll just have to wait a little longer.

There were actually leaks by Lego store employees telling of the new X-Wing and Ewok Village back in January but most people didn't take them seriously. I need to get myself some Lego store employee friends. :P

The more and more I see these sets, the more and more I want to buy all of them. While some are not that new (Gunship, AT-TE, Snail Tank), the Jedi Defender ship is gorgeous, and all the figs are really epic. Damn you LEGO for always creating a major spending dilemma!

I don't think it's a case of the designers pouring all their effort into the minifigures but more a case of their marketing dept pouring most of their budget into the minifigures. The designers want to make great sets!

Me and my son are actually friends with the manager at Westfield London! We barely ever ask him for info though, as we'd hate for him to get into trouble.
