Cyberbricker Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Its always nice when they do stuff like this when you live in Europe, nice one LEGO. But all things considered, I think we will see this figure in the winter 2014 wave, there are still lots of EPII sets that LEGO could remake, something they love to do, so stay positifs. Quote
Lance Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Perhaps it'll end up in the Star Wars shop at Legoland Windsor. They did that with shirtless Darth Maul after all.... Quote
Borex Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 i have mixed feelings about exclusives. It's not really fair to the Lego SW fans who buy all the sets (or a lot of sets) year in and out and don't get the chance to earn those wanted minifigs sold at fares. But i like the idea of exclusive minifigs. Quote
Cyberbricker Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I have never had the chance to get any of the exclusives, manly because i live in Belgium. I never wanted any of them either, so no problem, until now!!! I'm gone have to keep a close eye on Bricklink and e-bay this weekend. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 From the 60 different clones they could have made exclusive without a problem they relegate the best one to an even more exclusive exclusive fig that you are legally only allowed to own 3 of as far as I understand? HHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG My hopes that we get him in a set after the AOTC summer wave were already near to zero, seeing how this wave was only made for a movie rerelease that doesn´t happen, but making him exclusive instead is like a giant middle finger. If one of those figs had to be made exclusive they should have chosen the green one. You don´t even see the green one outside of that one promo image that FBTB linked and the Jet Trooper Character class from the Star Wars Battlefront games. I am glad that they didn´t choose the green one because now I like that class too, but what exactly did prevent them from doing another fig like Commander Fox Phase 2, one of the three other Commander Wolffes or whoever else was included in TCW as a background character? Darth Dino Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Hi i am curious but also noobish regarding TCW. Can anybody please explain why this fig is so important? It is the rank? What makes it so exclusive? Thanks ;) Dino Edited June 12, 2013 by Darth Dino Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Hi i am curious but also noobish regarding TCW. Can anybody please explain why this fig is so important? It is the rank? What makes it so exclusive? Thanks ;) Dino It's actually from Clones. If you look at the picture which has the different color clones from that movie, there's yellow for commanders, blue for lieutenants, red for captains, and green for sergeants. Army builders and customizers have been making their own versions of these for a long time, and now TLG has given us three of the four colors in this year's waves: the sergeant in 75000, the captain in 75021, and the commander in 75019. It's not really that important of a character, (only the yellow commander has a real role in the movie) but I think most people are upset more because TLG gave us three of the four officers after giving us nothing but white clones for the longest time, and now they're withholding the last rank as an exclusive. Actually, in the scene in AotC on Kamino you see the Sergeant(green clone) I remember seeing it the last time I saw the movie. Quote

Hi thanks and.... damn. I am focussing just on movie sets and i ignored all clones sets so far thinking they are TCW sets... And now there are 3 actual sets just about EP II. As too hard for me to differ TCW sets from EP II clones sets. Dino Quote

If you check on Bricklink whenever there's a set with clones in it you can see whether their eyes are huge or not. Quote
Zzz Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 And now there are 3 actual sets just about EP II. 6 sets from Episode 2 this year - you can also check brickset, which is pretty accurate about keeping the episodes / CW apart, for example E2 = http://www.brickset.com/browse/themes/?theme=Star%20Wars&subtheme=Episode%20II It's also nice to keep track of your collection / wanted list. Cyberbricker Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Just emailed lego Belgium on the Clone Lieutenant, they say they don't get to see mush of the exclusive mini fig either and hope that I know someone in California that can help me get one... Quote
kamigawa Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Just a quick, open question: judging from the first page, with all the sets displayed, is it pretty much safe to assume that this year's second UCS will be the Ewok village? I've lost touch with the EB community for a few months, and since I won't be able to check every day for news, it would help a lot knowing I should not expect anything else on that front until the next year. Yes, the ewok village is already confirmed by Lego itself. Strange you missed that, it was shown on almost every FOL site about a week ago. If you still haven't seen official immages look at fbtb: http://www.fbtb.net/2013/06/01/10236-ewok-village-revealed/ Quote
BEAVeR Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 So that means we won't get another UCS vehicle this year then? If so, luckily, or else I'll never make a choice what set to buy... Quote
namioik Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 The Lieutenant figure should make its way around the world EVENTUALLY. Polybags in past events that were tagged "exclusives" included Darth Maul, White Boba. I know that's not enough evidence but patience is a virtue Quote

I know what it is, I've already checked the first page of the thread, as I said. Point is, I didn't know if it counted as the second UCS of the year 2013, which means I won't have to check on that matter till March-April 2014, or if it was given a 10XXX set number in order to justify its size. Guess it actually meant this years's second set is a diorama rather than a ship. Oh, well, time to hybernate till next spring, when "official" rumors of the new UCS will surface. Sigh. Quote
just2good Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Oh, well, time to hybernate till next spring, when "official" rumors of the new UCS will surface. Sigh. Well, the "unofficial" rumors showed up in January this year, so look at it this way- you only have to wait until January 2014! Woohoo! Quote
Cyberbricker Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) This is totally not confirmed by lego, so not 100% sure, but something someone said to me when I asked him to get me a clone lieutenant at the California event. "It appears the clone trooper Lieutenant is not an exclusive, but just a early release of a mini figure coming with an other set in 2014. They just want to boost the sale of the clone officers that are already available." What do you guys think of it??? Imo, I think its strange Edited June 14, 2013 by Cyberbricker Quote
Knightsword Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) Thats kinda what happened with the shirtless Darth Maul mini, we're getting him in a set sans normal legs. Edited June 14, 2013 by Knightsword Quote

The 10xxx number doesn't denote a UCS set. 10xxx numbers are used across all themes for exclusives. There doesn't always have to be a second UCS set. We did get two UCS sets in 2012, but in 2011 we only got one, in 2009 we got none, and in '03, '04, '05, and '07 we also only got one. (Although to be fair the one in 2007 was 10179.) Looks like the summer sets won't be released in the US until August 1st. I was hoping we'd get them this month. 7 more weeks to wait. :( http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Corporate-Alliance-Tank-Droid-75015 Moving posts on availability to "Star Wars Sets, Anyone?"......done. BrickBob Studpants Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 (edited) I'm pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet, so here we go: Source: http://us.starwars.l...56-741f0b88783e Since it's a polybag, we might get to see this being distributed elsewhere as was the case with the Shirtless Maul polybag (well at least I hope so ) Edited June 16, 2013 by Lego-Freak Quote
