Faefrost Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Is "duel on geonosis an exclusive"? Ad is there any word on the release date of the new Old Republic set in the UK? The Exclusives are the Jedi Defender and the Starhopper. What chains carry them will vary by country. Quote
hjmediastudios Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I know some folks have already found the Duel on Geonosis set in standard retailers, so it's probably not an exclusive. Quote

hjmediastudios Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 No. I believe the people I'm referring to were Belgian. Quote
Cyberbricker Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Indeed, I got one from dreamland, but is also available in the other toy stores, so its definitely not an exclusive! Quote
Onsay Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Just ordered my Gunship, Duel and tank droid off the Lego Website in Australia and they've shipped for all those down under. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Thank you very much for the information and pics! The Ewok Village looks amazing! :oh: The only three things which disturb me are: - that the trap hasn't a cable wind, but only a cable - that there is no dipper in the kitchen and only very limited food in the room upstairs - that there are railings around the tree huts but no track for minifigs to go around them Otherwise it's perfect! I'm really looking forward to the Ewok Village and the Sail Barge. With the Ewok Village this year, I hope that we'll get a decent System scale Imperial Shuttle with gangway an a new black-suited imperial officer. Fives Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Just calculated the cost for all the new sets this year, and in Canada it comes to $1,015, BEFORE TAXES!!!! Damn, LEGO, why you gotta be so harsh on the Canadian pricing! Quote
Fives Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 So I've been taking a more serious look at the new AOTC sets this year, and it seems like LEGO kinda dropped the ball in a few areas. Well, really, they just threw away the chance to make a new Slave 1. Rather than putting Jango in the snail droid set, Obi-Wan in the gunship, and Boba in the calendar, they could have all gone in one set, along with a Kaminoan. Then they could've replaced Obi-Wan in the gunship with a new Kit Fisto, with dark tan robes and olive green skin, perhaps even a normal minifig head with a tentacle headpiece. Same with the snail tank, give us Plo Koon or Bultar Swan. It's just a shame that LEGO decided to put Jango in a set that makes no sense, especially when they could've made just one other set, and give us two other Jedi, plus a Kaminoan. Quote
Tariq j Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Hiall correct me if I am wrong but I purchased jabbas sail barge today and on the poster it has a list of all the 2013 minifigures, there were three however which I didn't recognise these were a sith warrior a Jedi counselor and a Jedi knight does anybody know which set they are from. Perhaps they come around together in a couple of years. Quote

I think most of the sets are good, but your right that lego just did the random minifig placement again. I would have liked if the sets turned out more like this... -Tank Droid: Was actually a Hailfire Droid and that set included Geonosian Battle Droid, Clone Trooper and Aayla Secura for 24.99$ -Homing Spider Droid: Stass Allie is great, but I think the Clone should be a Clone Captain so you could get some more new minifigs in that set. -Republic Gunship: I would have put a regular Clone Trooper since you get the Clone Captain in the Spider Droid and repalce one of the Super Battle Droids with Jango since it would have beed based off the Arena scene more putting Jango in the right situation. The other sets I think are fine, but I think lego really needs to plan minifig placement better next year. Quote
LipanConjured Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Yeah, the Defender Crusiser. It really is a great set, definitely one ofmy favourites this year. I'm going to sound dumb for asking this, but has this set been appearing in stores yet?? I know certain summer sets such as the Mandalorian Speeder have been popping up in Toys R Us, but I haven't got the chance to check for myself. I'm really looking forward to getting that one and the Speeder. I'm a sucker for anything Expanded Universe or including Mandalorians. Quote

No, the Defender Cruiser is an exclusive, and we have yet to find out what store it will be exclusive to. I barely have the budget to buy any of these sets, and will likely look to buy all the new figs somewhere. Quote
Darth Nader Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Am I the only one who doesn't really like the new AT-TE that much? The fact that we pay $90 or 90 euros or whatever for just one clone isn't worth it. I know we get two very interesting jedi, and the clone included is very detailed, but I just think they could have included a few more standard clones for the price. The set itself isn't really something I consider an improvement over the previous one either. I mean one of the main downsides is that you can't put any clones in the front hatch of the AT-TE, just one in the cockpit. Also you can say lego went in the opposite direction when they replaced missile launchers with flick fire missiles. Anyways I'll just save my $90 and use them on the jedi-defender class Cruiser, anyone with me? Edited July 1, 2013 by Darth Nader Quote
hjmediastudios Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I agree with what's been said previously- the big problem for me is the lack of standard clones. I'm already going on a pre-summer Cracklink hit to get all the plain troopers (3 platoons, in fact) to fill the gunships and AT-TEs I anticipate getting. Quote
