Artanis I Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 It goes for over half an hour... no way in the world am I watching it. If there's no stop motion or time lapse or at least something showing intermediate steps, then that is incredibly unnecessary. Quote
Darth Nader Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 It goes for over half an hour... no way in the world am I watching it. If there's no stop motion or time lapse or at least something showing intermediate steps, then that is incredibly unnecessary. If you think that's bad, you should check out Michaelmgf's review of the new gunship, it's 43 minutes long! Anyways the review isn't that bad, but JANGBRICKS in my opinion has a better review, but it's still the same length, just in two parts, the first goes over the minifigures and speeder bike if you care about those, part 2 has the actual village. part 1 part 2 Anyways this review is really good and allowed me to see features on the ewok village that I didn't even know existed. It's truely an amazing set. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I've mentioned and blogged Legend Bricks' review before; I think it's still the best, most thorough one out there so far. And it's written, text-based, and pictorial; I don't like video reviews in general. Always seem to be unnecessarily long and spend too little time or no time at all on the details, and I'd much rather read a good description and opinion than listen to what is usually someone giving me basic information of what's shown in a video. Plus I can read a review at my own pace, spending as much or as little time on each section as I want, and a well-formatted, written, and photographed review always gives me the impression of having had more thought and careful work put into it. That being said, Jang's review is very nice and definitely better than I think any other video review I've seen. Quote

I agree, most video reviews are just full of "Um" and "Uh" and up being 20 minutes long, only giving about one minute of opinion while the rest being basic things you can read on lego.com. While I do prefer text reviews, I don't think this one went very deep in some of the features. The photography is good, but I would have preferred a bit more. Quote
Tariq j Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I agree with Darth Nader Written reviews are better, also with text ones you don't have to worry about buffering. Quote
VeggieWokker Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 My Ewok village arrived today, looking forward to building it with my girlfriend when she comes over. It'll be her first real Lego build :). Quote

Drock Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Where's are second Christmas model? Is that brown model next to jango? Yes. Appears to be some sort if sled with his jet pack Quote
Tariq j Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Yes. Appears to be some sort if sled with his jet pack Thanks, probably some sort of jet sleigh or something similar. Quote
kermit Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 This years advent calender has a better selection of figures than last years. The inclusion of little bobo fett is curious though. Quote

As with jango boba needed a redesign but TLG were to lazy to make slave 1 so they slipped both characters into other sets. Quote
Legoman123 Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Has anyone managed to get hold of the free promotional Clone Lieutenant yet ? Quote
hjmediastudios Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 The Clone LT's promotional availability starts tomorrow in the US; considering order and delivery times, it'll likely be a few days or about a week before the flood of butter bars starts. Quote
Csacsa234 Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I imagine what those people feel who bought these lieutenants for hundreds of dollars from ebay after the Lego event and now it's available at S@H Quote
Artanis I Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 It's not coming up for me , there's just a mini VW Kombi. Don't tell me I waited a month to order stuff for nothing! Quote
