pedro Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 ... Endor Planet- I think this one okay, I still don't understand the B-Wing Pilots Helmet though. Yeah that seems an oddity to me too. Don't get me wrong - I actually think Series 4 is really strong. But consistency with the artwork and minifig choice would make the line so much better. The unnamed Snowspeeder Pilot is supposed to be Dak Ralter... I'd like to see more updated versions of characters from the yellow skin and pre-pupil era, or even characters who wouldn't normally fit in regular sets. Like Lobot?! More of that type of thought would be ace. Daft again that Dak wasn't named though - it's clearly him. As mentioned, this clearly isn't an army building sub theme, so any chance to expand upon the repertoire of named characters seems to good to miss, though I'm not averse to updated versions of unnamed characters like the new pilots, etc. though the devil really is in the details (back to the B-wing pilot's helmet choice again?). hjmediastudios Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 But I agree the planet sets should really come with more unique characters and less army builders. I mean is anyone seriously going to buy multiples of these just for one figure? I plan to get a lot of Coruscants due to the clone troopers without an extra sergeant and the fact that the planets can be Brasso'ed to get some nice dark gray spheres for MOCs. Quote

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get clones on brink link or eBay? Or just buy the battlepacks and sell the other stuff? Quote
Pumpkin Pie Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I'm going to get the MHC and the BARC tommorow and I'll try to review them. any tips? any pic requests? Just cause hasbro makes deleted scenes doesn't mean Lego does. Evidence that Lego doesn't make deleted scenes - no set has ever been from a deleted scene from any movie, all previous sets have been from movie scenes, clone wars tv series and expanded universe (e.g. Based on Games, etc.) It's going to happen in the LOTR theme with the battle of Black Gate. Wasn't that in a deleted scene? Quote
The Legonater Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 It's going to happen in the LOTR theme with the battle of Black Gate. Wasn't that in a deleted scene? The actual battle was not, but one of the characters in the set was. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 It's going to happen in the LOTR theme with the battle of Black Gate. Wasn't that in a deleted scene? I wouldn't call it a deleted scene per se, since that scene is found in the extended edition of Return of the King. Peter Jackson (and many fans, myself included) consider the extended editions the "real" versions of the films. Quote
Delta 38 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Attack of the Clones is being re-released in theatres. Ah, right. It's still a bit odd to me because they were originally released as Clone Wars sets, and now they all seem to be from Attack of the Clones. I don't recall the Tank Droid being in Attack of the Clones. They were in Revenge of the Sith, but Jango Fett had already been decapitated by then. They were present at the Battle of Geonosis itself so I'm hoping they'll still go with the Episode II-style Clones if Jango really is part of the set. Quote
legoboy12345678/David Hall Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Going back on the Tank Droid not being in the movie, but just as a unfinished animatic whole deal... Did anyone think that maybe the 3D release could be putting all deleted and unfinished footage into this years film? LEGO is notified of these things 2 years ahead, thats 2 years Lucasfilm could have easily rendered that Tank Droid footage? Thoughts? Quote
Legokid98 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Well the peson confirmed jango fett in the tank droid so that would mean it would have to be from attack of the clones. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I wouldn't necessarily use the word "confirmed" at this point. The pics that we've seen so far are preliminary and things may still change. If we patiently wait until Toy Fair, I'm sure more of our questions will be answered. Quote
legocaptainrexfan Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 check the Lego website!!!!!!!! what i mean is when are retail shops going to get them Quote
MandaloretheLesser Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 what i mean is when are retail shops going to get them Really it depends on where you live and what retail shops are near you. Example i live in Brisbane, Australia and I have a Target, Kmart and Big W (which are the three big retail stores in Australia) near me and none of them have yet got the new sets. Quote
Cyberbricker Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 It helps if you tell were you live in your profile. :) Quote
Sam892 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Just watched a review of the AOTC battle pack on YouTube, and to my dismay, it appears that the AOTC Clones share the same helmet as the CW Clones! The only difference is the printing. This significantly reduces my desire for this fig. I was really hoping that LEGO would have made a completely new mold. It kind of makes sense that they would reuse the Mold. After all the current Mold is pretty good and with the new print it looks to me almost the same. The list of Summer stuff sounds really interesting to me. I love that we're maybe getting poggle and Trebor. However I'm disappointed about getting Mace Windu again. I would much rather we got a non CW Ki Adi Mundi or Aayla. It seems a bit wasted as we have the Molds but not the prints. Also thinking about May the Fourth, I think it will be Return of the Jedi based. Simply because AOTC 3D doesn't come out till September. Also I doubt it will be Dexter Jetster as he would still need a new Mold. After looking at pictures of him and Krell, their very different. Krell's Mold is very limited to him with the face hair and Jedi Robes. Quote

Spider-Man Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Wow thanks for the pictures The Sail Barge doesn't look like too much of an upgrade from the first one to me though? Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 *snip* Isn't this the same pic previously posted only enlarged? The glare appears to be in the exact same spot. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Yes, it's the same picture but only slightly larger. I can make out the "New!" callouts next to some of the minifigures, though. It does look like The Lone Ranger theme will have some nice polybag sets, though. Quote
Legokid98 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 when will we see pictures of the star wars 2013 lego sets. Please answer ? Quote
Fuppylodders Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 when will we see pictures of the star wars 2013 lego sets. Please answer ? Pictures are already in this thread a few pages back, via means of a link. Also a picture is also linked in this very same page, it does help if you do a bit of self reading rather than expect everyone to do the foot work for you. @Cyberbricker If you checked his original post (previous page I think), you'll see (very clearly as he kind of 'internet shouted' in caps) that he asked when will they be released in the UK. I know you are only trying to help though but you just missed his previous post which does state the location he wanted. I too would like to know. I phoned up Toys R Us (in the UK) and they said they had just got fresh deliveries of current stuff trickling in, and that the new winter wave won't be on shelves until beginning of February, but personally, I would phone them mid January and onwards as they do get them in earlier than they think they will get them. As for other stores, I don't really know.... Quote
