Will the battle droids in the attack of the clones sets be regular tan ones or will they perhaps be dark orange or something resembling more the colour they were during the battle on geonosis?

Personally i'd prefer regular tan ones but i'm sure there are some that would disagree.

They are the sand red battle droids.

I've been trawling through some LEGO customer service database pages, and I came upon a bit of an oddity. Anyone know what a classic green Boba Fett helmet (presumably the new style) might be used for? Not sure if it's a new Boba Fett variant fig or a character that only more dedicated Star Wars fans would be familiar with. Regardless, it's decorated, and I doubt it would be decorated if it's just a test mold like some parts in the database that never see the light of day.

If he does have a Death Star plans piece, I would expect him to have this piece that's already been made.

Or the could habe the new flat tile piece in trans red printed with the Death Star plans. They did print the thermal detenator on a flat tile.

And a jedi temple for the attack on the temple by Darth Vader and the 501st

Chances are the only way we will get a Jedi Temple set will be a TCW version. There is no way that TLG will ever green light a RotS version where the main character essentially murders a building full of young school children.

It does not have to marketed that way. Also they could do the flip side, Obi-Wan/Yoda clearing the temple of Clones. Look at Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. They don't make Anakin look evil at all. But honestly i was just pointing out there are plenty of set opportunities from Episode III

Some interesting bit of news on the Yoda Chronicles:

The Yoda Chronicles - this is to be a LEGO Star Wars animated series. It is unclear where it will be screened. Each episode features Yoda going in to the Jedi Archives to find an adventure, and that story is told for the episode. They will be from all different times in the Saga, some will be familiar, some won’t. Jek-14’s Stealth Starfighter (75018) is from this series, based on the ship belonging to a new villain.

I don't know if this was confirmed before, but now we know that it will be a series, not a one-off special like Padawan Menace or Empire Strikes Out. :sweet: Which also explains how there will be enough material to fill a whole book about it.

I think there are two perspectives on this. One could be that this is an excellent point, especially given the current state of affairs. The other is that they could simply release a Jedi Temple set, with Jedi, and no mention of any of the unpleasantry that transpires there. Even so, foul deeds don't necessarily preclude a set. They made a set off the Death Star, which didn't get its name for nothing.

And the Rancor Pit you know with the eating of people and all that.

Watched TCW this morning, wasn't anything in the episode that jumped out at me that could be the Mando Speeder. Also i think the spiked helmet mando is actually Maul.

Eating a prosthetic makeup pig person is hardly the same as the massacre of children.

Eating a prosthetic make up pig person isnt much different than light effects being added to acting children falling over and going to sleep...

I think we will get a jedi temple but it will be the events leading up to the attack on it not attualy killing the kids and women, I would also prefer if it wasn't the attack because that way it wouldn't be destroyed or anything.

Who says that if Lego made a Jedi temple that it would include Jedi younglings? They could just have the adult Jedi knights/padawans defending themselves from the 501st troopers and Anakin

It's very different. It's the way visual filmmaking works - the gammoreans are portrayed as monstrous, hulking aliens with no recognisable or relatable human features, and whose only communication takes the form of unintelligable grunting. Moreover, they are portrayed as cruel and greedy. Film audiences aren't going to feel particularly upset when a monster gets eaten by a monster. Add to this the death of Jabba, which is an even more extreme version - more monstrous, more evil, still unintelligable, even more deserving to die.

The younglings on the other hand as human as could be (except the aliens, who hide in the background so the human can stand in the foreground and take our attention). They're emminently relatable: for young viewers the younglings represent themselves directly, for older viewers they represent their own children. They're innocent, they're defenceless, they're adorably cute, and they're about to get horribly murdered. Do note that their deaths are intentionally not shown on-screen. No censor would allow it, and very few audiences would tolerate it. Oddly enough, people are more than a little squemish about the thought of defenceless children being slaughtered.

The most disturbing bit... Those kids have been snatched from their families at an early age and are being trained as warriors. The whole Star Wars saga has some complex moral issues that in no way change everyones' enjoyment of the stories or the Lego sets based off of them.

BACK ON TOPIC I wonder what minifigs will come with the defender cruiser? Hopefully more republic troopers and maybe the Jedi from the 'Decieved' trailer.

I'm intrigued as to what the 'special forces clone trooper' is as well, id like to think its a clone commando but tlg probably would have called him that if he was

Yeah it is a clone commando. If you go to wookieepedia look it up.

If we ever did get anything involving the Jedi temple I kind of hope it's of Anakin's fight with Jocasta Nu (Which is from the Ep 3 games and I think it was in the novel too. It was just an interesting scene)

I don't think the Jedi temple is off limits, Lego just has to use discernment with what should be included.

However I personally don't think we'll ever see much of any sets related to order 66, it's such a dark moment in the Star Wars franchise that I don't really need it in Lego form. And I'm sure it's a bit harder to sell such dark content matter in toy form.
