cavegod Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 If this is true that's over 300 usd. Ohh my dear, my poor wallet... I wish it wasn't! Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Wow!!! If we're indeed getting a large-sized Ewok village set, I'll be ecstatic! Quote
darththeling Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I would love to have an Ewok Village set, I truly would. But if you consider this proof in that image of the Lego designer's shelves, it is a Kashyyyk (sp?) playset. Take a close look, above the medical droid. That shelf model is misleading. http://static.ow.ly/photos/original/HJQX.jpg Those are battle droids standing on the ground, green helmet clone troopers on the walkway. There is one of those smaller Wookkie catamaran things on the ground, too. Even the little black sign shows "Kashyyyk" upon zooming in tight. The Ewok village needs trees interconnected with wooden bridges. I admit the large dish certainly does look like the one from Endor... anyway, all I'm saying is that if TLG really has an Ewok Village it will come as a total surprise. Prove me wrong, The Lego Group! Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 We have gone over this already, the kashyyyk battle set is just a prototype that is no going to be released, it's like the yavin 4 great temple, that's a prototype and is not going to be release. We do not have any pictures of the ewok village we just have the conformation of it so just forget that Image of the kashyyyk set an remember its the ewok village we are getting. Quote
DrasticPlastic Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 £200 of ewoks? That's an awful lot - cant see how an ewok village would warrant a set of that size, after all what were the memorable locations 'recreate c3po talking in a small hut'... We'll get a new leia but £200 for one new fig...hmm Quote
Ritz Brick Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 We have gone over this already, the kashyyyk battle set is just a prototype that is no going to be released, it's like the yavin 4 great temple, that's a prototype and is not going to be release. Not you or anyone else can predict what sets are coming in the future. That prototype could easily be modified to become either Kashyyyk set or Endor style. Anything is possible, it's pretty much TLC's slogan. Quote
Lobot Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Noooo!!! Not more ewoks All I want is a new Cloud City, is that too much to ask? Quote
will Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 It was going to be a Lego-free year for me with the sets released so far, but a UCS X-wing would get my money. Looking forward to it. Quote
jmagaletta Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 The UCS X-Wing needs to be amazing for me to get it. Quote
LegoDad Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Noooo!!! Not more ewoks All I want is a new Cloud City, is that too much to ask? This is my ultimate want as well, a Death Star style Cloud City. After that, Lego can make whatever Star Wars set they please. Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I personally thinks we will get a cloud city next summer. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I personally think that we have had enough of Ewoks for the moment. If LEGO are going to give us such massive sets, it would be better if we got something much more desirable such as Cloud City . Even so, it will be interesting to see just how LEGO pull off the Ewok Village at the rumoured price of £200. Quote
Drock Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) Endor must be the new Hoth for LEGO. Edited February 6, 2013 by Drock Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 10240 - 'Red Squadron X-Wing Starfighter'. UK £170. Shame on you Lego! What´s up with everyone using fake Brickset links with no information in it at all? Endor must be the new Hoth for LEGO. Quote
wesker Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I don't mind which we get between Cloud City and Endor. The minifigures alone are enough reason why I can see both happening within the next 2 years. Lego has really been going out of there way to cover every variant of the main heroes the past couple years, but there aren't many options left outside of Endor and Bespin. Which of these do you think are realistically going to show up in the near future? Luke - Stormtrooper - Dagobah - Bespin - Medical Frigate - Endor camo - Death Star II Leia - Bespin gown - Bespin jumpsuit - Medical Frigate - Home One uniform - Endor camo - Ewok dress Han - Stormtrooper - Endor camo Quote
darththeling Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) Just how 'set in stone' are the next year or two of Star Wars Lego sets? I'm hoping that the delay of the 3-D editions of Clones and Revenge might bring the OT into the forefront. Does every wave of Star Wars sets include OT, PT and EU sets? Realistically, there's so much that could be done with Cloud City, it's not even funny. Where to begin? Some of the most important and critical scenes occur there. Sure it's a tough set to tackle conceptually and hey, maybe it doesn't fit into the USC category (which it should!)... but there should at least be some kind of carbonite pit set... or a series of little scenes with the torture room, landing platform, hotel room, etc. We know they had something in mind for the landing platform in the 2008 vote. Maybe we should have voted for the Slave 1 with Cloud City platform then, instead of Home One or Palpatine's Arrest! Would it have been simply a circular platform, or were there plans to add some Cloud City interiors? The 'sky' is the limit. ;) Sets like the Rancor Pit add-on keep my faith that TLG is willing to go outside of recycling the same stuff over and over. I have to admit, where TLG used to botch each and every one of their playset sets (vs vehicle sets) something has changed and now we are getting incredible scenes and playsets. Jabba's Palace is a work of art and the Endor Bunker ain't too shabby. They sure shouldn't miss out on Degobah with the planet series.... that's a critical location for the OT! Bobsy Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Pretty sure this unfounded speculation belongs in the Future Star Wars Sets thread. For the record, there is NO confirmed Ewok Village set, nor any evidence we're going to get one any time soon, other than people assuming "we' due". The more we speculate in this thread, the harder it becomes to pick out actual information. Quote
Illuminating Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 ^^ as far as I got to know about this issue, it's no more an speculation. Besides, there's only 3 more days till we get full information about the future summer sets :) No matter sets TLG's going to release, I'm glad they're heading back to OT, thus Cloud city & Sand Crawler may not be too far from being re-released. Darth Malgus Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Pretty sure the Ewok Village is pure speculation based upon the old Lego office pic which looks like it holds a ewok/kyshyyyk styled set. That pic also contains a Yavin 4 Rebel base which featured in the Lego Encyclopedia a few years ago that wouldn't be made, along with the Watto bust. I think this is a case of narrative becomming reality... Quote
DarkFader Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 An Ewok village set would be pretty sweet (more Ewoks for the masses) but a high price seem to be correct; it would not be a small set either so something in the size of the Cloud City set from years ago would most likely be it. Quote
Another Brick In The Wall Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Someone who works at TRU in Australia reported on another forum that they are getting "X-Wing 10240" with no further details except a list price in their system of AU$279.99 and a possibility that its a TRU exclusive. A chick at my gym works at TRU in Oz. Maybe i'll ask her to confirm. Quote

ISDAvenger Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I think we might have a better idea of whats on the horizon after the NYC Toy Fair on Sunday. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I think we might have a better idea of whats on the horizon after the NYC Toy Fair on Sunday. No, Toy Fair only shows the regular sets, not the UCS or retailer exclusives. The only exception was AT-OT & LAAT/C in 2009 but probably because it was only a couple of weeks away and they would have had to release a regular press release anyway. Quote
