Is it just me or do some of the SW Toy Fair sets have really good price per piece ratio? In $US 75015 is about 7 cents (9 cents in CDN) which is pretty amazing for a Star Wars set.

Yes i must say it has improved but in the case of 75015 there are a lot of small pieces that make up the tank treds.

I seem to recall information about TC-14 coming out about a month before the sale last year. But this year could be different.

It probally will be since we didn't see the pictures of regular sets until much later compared to previous years, but we'll see them eventually.

It seems to vary wildly this release. The Gunship also has a really decent price per piece, while Jabba's Sail Barge and the Jekk14 Stealth Fighter both look to have an absolutely awful price per piece.

Okay, help me out here folks. I've heard that there will not be any more Clone Wars in partnership with CN. My understanding from an interview with Dave is they're wrapping the story under the Disney banner. Am I wrong?

As for lego not making any more CW sets, has there been an official announcement to that effect? Nobody in my 'LUG has reposted anything like that and we've got some pretty serious SW fans who manage to find ANYTHING and repost within the group.

Can someone please post something official in a reply here?

True, but it is still an improvement from the recent ridiculous prices.

I haven't any official announcements like this either; my guess is they'll make maybe one more wave after the show is over (January 2014) and then just go for Episodes 1-6 remakes until Episode 7 gets released (2015 or so?).

Actually, we haven't heard much in the way of official announcements from Disney or Lucasfilm themselves. There's a bigger discussion over in the Season 5 Clone Wars topic in Culture and Multimedia, but what it boils down to is that Disney and Lucasfilm are being very vague about this decision, and none of us really know for sure what they have planned. (my theory is that they want to focus attention on Episode VII while keeping the door open for returning to the current projects if the new movie is a failure) We don't even know if TLG knows what's going on with future Star Wars productions, so we can only assume that they'll release any TCW sets that are past the point of no return in the set design process. There haven't been any official announcements from TLG regarding the cancellation of TCW.

Just as a side note to the Clone Wars discussion, I'd encourage anyone who feels so inclined to tweet Disney (@disney) with the hashtag #savetheclonewars in support of the show. This especially holds true if you're a fan of the sets and want to see Lego release what they might have coming down the pipeline.

I'm guessing that we'll see Clone Wars sets through the rest of this year, but nothing beyond that since the show is no more... :cry_sad:

I think that we will continue too see clone wars sets.

Although the show finished, there are some loose story arc that will be able to be seen somewhere.

The kids do still like the show, after it ended, and might have some DVD's to look.

Not all episodes have been featured on tv in all countries. Dubbing takes time. I believe they are still in season 4 in the Netherlands.

Though episodes IV-VI are not anymore in the theatres, Lego still continues to make sets according to those movies.

Lego designers did not know the show would be cancelled, so they already designed new CW sets, assuming the show would still continue. For example, they problalbly already have designed 2014 winter wave sets.

Keep in mind there's also been an AT-ST in the Battle of Endor set, 8038.

Hmm... right, maybe I should get a used copy of 7657 instead then. But I find it kind of ugly and not very true to the original design :/

The one in battle of Endor is a heck of a lot better looking than 7657 IMO

Huh. Didn't think the back of Yoda's head/hair would be printed like that, was expecting something molded like they did with the Clone Wars Yoda. I think I like the printed look though. Makes it look a lot less cartoony. Wonder if it's going to be made of that rubbery stuff or a harder plastic. I'm hoping for a hard plastic head since I'm not a huge fan of the rubber heads.

I wouldn't mind another AT-ST next year, especially if the design is similar to the Battle of Endor one. Even better if a few of those new Scout Troopers were thrown in along with an updated Endor Leia.

Hopefully soft plastic like the original Yoda head from 2002.
