Darth Malgus Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Pretty sure it will be on the 4th globally for the x-wing, not a fan of the Han. Quote
Drock Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 BTW - hasn't any BP been announced for the summer wave? I have not yet found any clue. To tell the truth, i hope for one OT BP. One with regular Stormies and regular Rebel Troopers (Alderaan uniform they wore aboard the Tantive IV). We usually just get BPs in the Winter wave and not the summer wave Quote
Infernum Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) Here's a bad picture of the May the Fourth fig. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Infernum/May/image.jpg Edited March 30, 2013 by Infernum Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 We usually just get BPs in the Winter wave and not the summer wave Thanks for the heads up. I actually haven't been aware of this. Got so many older BPS und recent multiples that this fact got out of sight. Concerning the contents - i stick to what i said. Such BPs were last released some five years ago... Quote
Little_russian_AFOL Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Here's a bad picture of the May the Fourth fig. http://www.brickshel...m/May/image.jpg I've interested by holocron droid. Any info about it? Quote
501st Commando Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Hoth Han? For a May the 4th promo. I'm not as excited for this May the 4th promo as previous ones, but I'll probably cave and buy it anyways. Quote
Bobsy Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Not exactly sure what was preventing LEGO from doing Grand Admiral Thrawn as a May 4th exclusive fig as even light blue heads are being produced at the moment thanks to Chima and all it would have needed was a face print with creepy red eyes. Well apart from the fact that LEGO clearly weren't brain-probing my soft delicious lobes for ideas recently. They should do that. Quote
Infernum Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I've interested by holocron droid. Any info about it? It's a free mini build on the 1st. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 It's a free mini build on the 1st. That's pretty obvious from looking at the calendar. Little_russian_AFOL was probably interesting in knowing what the specific details are, i.e. if you have to be a kid or not. It also looks like there might be a brand new printed element included. Quote
Spider-Man Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 It also looks like there might be a brand new printed element included. That's what I notices! It looks like it has printing on the top, and on the sides of that disk piece Very nice and intricate! Quote

Well there's only 150 per store, not 250 like the normal monthly builds. It says open to kids 6 to 14, but my store is very reasonable with these things. I asked for a May calendar and got one. Quote
Albus Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Actually, I think I understand LEGO's choice now. This is not a move to an updated "more accurate" Hoth Han, rather, they are simply releasing an alternate version (similar to chrome stormtroopers or whoever), which wouldn't usually be featured. I expect that LEGO will still be using blue for Hoth Han in the future Hoth sets to come, this figure is merely a nod to the brown/blue debate, and something which wouldn't feature in a set because LEGO has obviously chosen the blue side. That makes me a bit happier about the figure, he has a story behind him Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Yeah, as someone who used to collect Star Wars action figures quite extensively, it's a really cool nod that Lego's done. I can at least appreciate it for that fact. Quote

Yeah, the stores are usually pretty flexible when it comes to the ages of people they let into the monthly free builds. (Or at least I know mine is; I've been told by an employee that they sometimes have adults who are just walking around the mall and are interested, get in line, and get to build a model.) Quote
MandaloretheLesser Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I plan on getting the battle of hoth during the may the 4th sales so the Han will go very nicely with it. Not happy about that i will miss the holocron droid build as Brisbane doesnt have a LEGO brand store. :'( come on LEGO Australia loves you too. Quote
Only Sinner Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Well, I'm not sure if the price for 7879 will ever come down to reasonable levels, and I'm not sure if I should get it now for double points or hold out till 05-04 and maybe the SOB will be discounted. I fear the same problem will happen with the overpriced 75014, I mean, just look at who the exclusive retailer is and that should be a dead giveaway the average customer is not getting a good deal. Should I get the Hoth sets now for 2x points, or wait and see what happens for May? Quote
will Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Quite disappointed with the May 4th figure, but it's not often you get something free in life (apart from every year with Lego!). Was going to get the new X-wing anyway but I'll probably just sell this fig Quote
HJR-Holland Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 What Holocron Droid? scroll up and be amazed :-) Quote
Artizan Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 is it me, or is han's hair dark brown colored? Quote
The Joker1 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hi everyone, I have a pic of the new calendar. With a hooded pic of han. :D May 2013 lego calendar by Legocollecter123, on Flickr The figure is growing on me but i'm still underwhelmed. Quote
KazeMonsuta Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I have a question about the minibuilds, since I never did one: Does anyone know if they are avaiable in Europe? How do I get them in the Lego Store? On the promotional figure: I guess I will still try to get it for its limited release. Even though it has no shiny glory! Quote

In the UK Lego stores have the minibulds in little tubs next to the counter, I'm not sure about Germany but im pretty sure its the same layout in France and Denmark? And yeah it would be great to have more shinies. Maybe next time... Quote

So you search the pieces from the tub, build it and take it home, got that right? Are there any costs? Quote

Are there any costs? I think each store has a certain amount and they leave them out until they are gone? And they are in little sealed tub each containing one set. Im not 100% sure of the cost but when i went over halloween they had the frankenstien for £3.99 i think. Quote
