Faefrost Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Am I the only one that thinks that the Republic Gunship is lacking in features? The 2002 version had an opening engine and an opening command center, and ball turrets. The 2008 Clone Wars model had a smaller command center (but it was still there), a bacta tank, spy droids, a bigger landing bay, a speeder bike, and storage in the back above the rear turret. 75021 seems to only contain a removable turret section, ball turrets, a slightly bigger landing bay than the 2002 version, a smaller speeder bike, and storage in the back like the 2008 model. A lot of feature space seems to be wasted with the carrying handle. That said, I'll still buy it. I'm weird. I prefer the Clone Wars version, just for the existence of the cool nose art. Even if it was dreaded stickers. Quote
montgocloud Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'm exactly the same way. It had a lot of cool features and a HUGE troop bay. I'm disappointed that I missed out on it. Quote
BobaFonz Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 i can't wait for the jango fett...! So am I, but I'm surprised that he's included in the Tank Droid. He was dead before the Battle of Geonosis even began. Quote

Alcarin Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 The Confederate tank droid with Jango Fett looks great! Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) The magnets are listed on S@H. 7$ in USA, 6€ in Germany and 5 Pound in UK. Seems rather expensive compared to the keychains and it is questionable if the figs are connected to the plate when some of them have capes. does that mean they glued the cape to the plate and you just have to remove the head and get a new cape? strangely Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 It says the minifigure can not be removed from the back panel. I'm even more unsure of how they're stuck on now. All I can guess is that there's glue on the back of the figures. Quote
The_Creator Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 75017 is on the top of my wanted list as I have the original from '02. And I actually like 75018! Also, can't wait for The Yoda Chronicles to come out. Quote

I believe there was some sort of pin holding them to the panel through their legs Quote

Savage Oppress Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Can't wait for Summer 2013 to get these new sets and Jango Fett. Quote
LukeClarenceVan Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 LEGO's really started stepping up the aesthetics of their sets lately, between LOTR and Star Wars I'll be hard pressed to stay out of serious debt... The Geonosis set in particular has some really nice parts. I also like how LEGO's started introducing more grey and white hairpieces, old people were much neglected in the past. ;) Quote
Chills Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I thought I was going to save a lot of money this year with the lack of SW sets coming out, but NOPE! I have most of them on my wanted list. I missed the AT-TE and Republic Gunship the first time they came out (dark ages!) so I'm happy they are coming out this year. Duel on Geonosis looks great, and I lack a Yoda minifigure so that's definitely on my list. I can't wait to see what the Defender-class ship looks like. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 http://www.brickset....rticle/?id=6104 Info about the magnet minifigs That´s nearly a month old. I contacted LEGO.com today and according to the customer service the figs are glued at following places: cape/torso, cape/baseplate, torso/legs, head/torso, head/helmet. Which means the regular strategy of cooking them is very dangerous when you have to throw in the complete package. The old way at least destroyed only the torso and legs. But then again, the customer service was wrong in many cases I contacted them before. Can´t just somebody dole out the six bucks and just tell us how it looks? But then again, 6 bucks for a single fig. Some of those figs are even cheaper when simply bought off the internet and you don´t even have to make them al dente. But then again, maybe we get some actually good figures in the next few months. But then again, I should stop writing like this. Quote
Fenaughty Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 $9.99 each to buy the magnets in Australia, yeah, not worth it. Quote
8BrickMario Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) http://lego.wikia.co...r-Class_Cruiser Sorry if you know about this, but I didn't see anything about it. I MUST have those trans-blue trophies! I was wondering when they would make a hologram projection piece! This looks like a $60-$70 USD set to me. I like the sliding out bay for the protocol droid as well. And another Trandoshan! Edited April 18, 2013 by 8BrickMario Quote
Oky Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 That's a MOC, and it doesn't have nearly the amount of supporters it needs on Cuusoo to be produced yet, so it's very unlikely that it will be released this year. Don't believe everything you read on a wikia. Quote

Are those pictures of the actual to be released set? Or are they of some bodies CuuSoo project? That's a MOC, and it doesn't have nearly the amount of supporters it needs on Cuusoo to be produced yet, so it's very unlikely that it will be released this year. Don't believe everything you read on a wikia. I thought there was supposed to be a Jedi Defender released this summer? Completely unrelated to the CuuSoo project. One they just had on the schedule? Set 75025, possibly one of the exclusives alongside set 75024 the HH-87 Starhopper? Quote

EDIT: Looks like someone removed the pictures. Good. Quote
8BrickMario Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Oops. I thought the photos looked sort of poorly done. Sorry about that. No loss, really, though I am disappointed that it's not official, if only for the minifig trophies. I wish I had trusted that "there's something off" feeling instead of making this mistake. I do put too much trust in Brickipedia. Edited April 18, 2013 by 8BrickMario Quote
Savage Oppress Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 so, when will we expect the Summer 2013 Lego Star Wars sets at Toys R Us. I am expecting they will appear on store shelves in May/June 2013 for Toys R Us and July/ August 2013 for Target and Walmart. Quote
eric729 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I am hoping that the Hoth Han is better in real life than in the pictures. ^^^^ 2000th comment Edited April 19, 2013 by eric729 Quote
