North Lego Star Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Accuracy comes at a price I guess, but I feel like lego could have made the ship some what more compacted since I looks really blocky and the cockpit is way to big. I like the minifigs though, to bad lego didn't have helmets for Obi-Wan or the Nikto Guard, but there still nice. A pass for me since there's not much it offers other than the minifigs. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 No helmet for Obi Wan = fail. I completely agree. This will be a pass for me, unless I find it at clearance prices. Quote
Faefrost Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 The "Plain Bane" is kinda hideous. It really seems to be missing something without his rebreather and "Lee Van Cleef" gunslinger jacket print. Granted it will be nice to have a regular Duros head, but still if they were going to make him plain, why not put him in a prison jump suit? And why a Nikto Guard? Still no word on whether the Jedi Defender is in fact a reality? I'm sorta losing hope :( Quote
DarthPotato Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Eh... the Starhopper just looks okay to me. The speeder's nice, though! The "Plain Bane" is kinda hideous. I'm sorta losing hope :( I think I heard that the Defender would be $90, and that's how much the exclusive last year (Palpatine's Arrest) was. And we didn't get pictures of that until May, so I'd say we'll probably get pictures of the Defender in a month or so. Quote

No helmet for Obi Wan = fail. I'll have to rewatch the episode now to remember what his helmet looked like. But oddly the one from the Jekk 14 Bounty Hunter set looks to be color matched to the Obi Wan "Rako Hardeen" fig. All it needs is a clone or Mando rangefinder. Weird that they put the helmet in that set and not this one? Quote
Super Brick Collector Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) [snip] [snip] Found these on Brickset. -Sci I like this set for one. So I'll be getting this set this summer. Thanks for the pic. Edited May 1, 2013 by Brickdoctor Please don't quote images from recent posts. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Like it, ditto the no helmet on Obi-Wan. Use the JEK helmet and it would be fine. Quote
TWP Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I don't really like the ship and the figs. Maybe I will bricklink that funny speeder and maybe a nikto guard. Quote
HJR-Holland Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I like the vehicle and will surely buy a copy, but I cannot understand why TLG or Lucasarts would choose such a vague vehicle over vehicles which had a far more prominent role in the Clone Wars or EP III... Quote
Mr Man Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 it looks like a Sail Barge with wings put through a trash compactor It is a Hut ship isn't it? I may get it for random figures for Jabbas palace. Quote
Chills Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Does anyone know if Lego will release some of the new SW sets for May 4th besides the new X-Wing? There aren't $75 worth of SW sets out that I want but don't have. :( Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I really doubt it. Summer wave sets generally don't start appearing until June/July. Quote

I've given up trying to wrap my head around how or why Lego chooses which licensed sets to make. It seems very counterintuitive to the fans at times. I suspect that vehicle color comes as much into play as does coolness or epic ness of the ship in question. They try hard to limit the amount of standard bley SW ships on he shelf at the same time. This one was probably selected for its interesting color scheme. Quote
Little_russian_AFOL Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 75024- worst Clone wars set. Obi have no helmet, nikto is freak, Kad bane... very bad. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 It is a Hut ship isn't it? I may get it for random figures for Jabbas palace. I thought it originated as one of those Zygerererererian ships in the slaver story arc. Quote

Bob De Quatre Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) I thought it originated as one of those Zygerererererian ships in the slaver story arc. There is a Desilijics clan emblem on the wings, which is Jabba's clan... It may not be a Hutt ship, but it's owner is affiliated with the Hutts... I have no knowledge of the animated serie, but EB is making me want to watch it Edited May 1, 2013 by Bob De Quatre Quote
Only Sinner Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Bob, you should watch it, it's Awsome! The new set, not at all awsome. Sorry, I am not yet convinced even the figs can redeem this bricky pile. Quote

I have no knowledge of the animated serie, but EB is making me want to watch it It has its ups and downs. The up points are without question the best Star Wars since Empire Strikes Back. The down points are things like episodes focused on the team of JarJar, C3PO and Padme. Thankfully there is normally only 1 or 2 such down points per season and the rest is superb. Also don't judge the series based on the pilot movie. It ok, but nowhere near as good as the deeper production series. Quote

It really is worth watching and like the comment above don't judge it by the 2008 animated movie, the series is phenomenally better. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Thanks guys. I'll try to find the DVD and watch it next month when I'll have to live without the Internet Now back on topic Btw I noticed I have a Desilijic emblem in my signature... Edited May 2, 2013 by Bob De Quatre Quote
Dragonfire Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 The Clone Wars is definitely worth watching! Just skip some of the Jar Jar humour- it really isn't funny. Quote
Spider-Man Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but it looks like ToysRus is having a May 4 event with a nice looking mini-buid Quote
