I had a long break, because I moved... now my new Lego hobby room is installed, I'm working on a medieval display (1 x 2,5 meters)... Avalonia's Hemresa will rise again.

Do not forget the history of Cedrica as it was once created by the rulers of Kaligem (Kaliphlin), so in the really ancient buildings, there will be some Kaliphlin influence :classic:

The I.A.M.S. never wanted to create diplomatic trouble by doing missions on Avalonian soil. I hope the AAG is as wise as the I.A.M.S. :classic:

I don't remember seeing any relation between pre-Kaliphlin and the creation of Cedrica in the Historica History. Though looking on it now, I didn't realize how much Kaliphlin is added in to it; although the history seen on the wiki is basically the Kaliphlin version of history. I think we need to work on a revised history of Historica and the formation of the guilds that fits with all of the guilds.

On Cedrica itself, I'm surprised we don't see it more often in builds; it's mostly spoken of then seen. I envision it as a large tan brick city, something elegant and beautiful but with clear indications of power.

Cedrica is founded when Kaligem ruled allover Historica. They wanted to create a central city to make ruling much more easier.

By doing this, they angered the gods of Kaliphlin and finally moving to Cedrica even meant the end of the power of Kaligem. (With the green wastelands becoming the dry siccus badlands)...

Professor Geschi Edeh Nis did some researching about this myth and so far, he could not find any proof that something in this myth was false.

(everything about this can be found in here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70211)

For example, the legendary fortress of Everlast has been found (serves now as base of the I.A.M.S.)

The complete history of the rise and fall can be found on the wikia:

http://guildsofhistorica.wikia.com/wiki/Rise_and_Fall_of_Kaligem

And there Cedrica is mentionned a few times :classic:

Also, the global history is indeed written by Kaliphlins, but when we wrote it, we put all the information other guilds provided us in this.

For example the history of Mitgardia is incorporated as well as the history of Avalonia :classic:

We did asked to everyone if they could agree with the history and as far as I remember, everyone agreed :classic:

About something you said earlier (I talked with Mattius Xavier about the Wikia today): there is indeed a lot of information about Kaliphlin and all its places (comparing to the other Guilds). The real reason is because (before you helped us with the Wikia) almost 75% of the Wikia was written by Kaliphlin members.

We did asked other guilds frequently to put more information on the wiki, but only a few helped us :sceptic:

Thanks for the info on the History. It is hard to see what is canon and what is just added, which is what I was confused about--since previously I must have completely missed the part about Kaligem.

On the wiki subject, my point about Kaliphlin pages was that it's good they are there, but the problem is a lot of the Kaliphlin pages are basically saying the same thing. Like there's a page on Kaliphlin notable locations and a page on Kaliphlin locations--ergo basically the same thing, so they should be on the same page. Also a similar situation with people, where there's a Kaliphlin page on important peoples, then a people's of Kaliphlin page.

Really, right now, I just want to really edit the wiki from what we have--so it's then easier to add more pages later (Also in a uniform format). We have a good amount now, but a chunk of the pages are basically empty--and we need to fill those up.

Kai based his Chal VI on this myth as well :classic:

I completely agree! Our Wikia is one of the best things of this community as it makes us remember all the beautifull stories we wrote, all the great places we shaped and so much more!

Yes, I used the old city of Kaligem heavily in my story. I plan to keep using it, and as far as my story goes since I didn't exactly specify what happened to Victor that can merge into other stories as well...

Yeah, I suppose we kind of took over the history writing, between the early works of DaMax and myself (I penned the original Kaligem story) and then Masa, NM, and Kai, we fleshed out a lot of the pre-guilds history with a Kaliphlin flair.

@LD Yes, that would be a good example of the Paris I am thinking.

:look: But at least we are fair and un-biased!

(I really should stop this...)

I'm going to have some serious GoH downtime over the summer (away from my bricks) and probably a month or two after the summer (trying to crunch out my biggest build ever for a Swebrick exhibition in October). But I will try to stay active on the forum at least and maybe gear my Swebrick build a bit towards GoH if I have that in mind from the start ;)

Count on me for Book II though!
