Dannylonglegs Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 You can still wear them without Meditate, they just won't do anything. Crap! I'd even be ok if it replaced my current miss. a well, I'll let this all roll out, but ultimately, Pretzel should get those.
herrJJ Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Father, you like these? They aren't my size." Nessa said waving the shoes in front of Pretzel.
Myrddyn Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Erik scowls, looking around at the corpses decorating the room. "For once, I can't say I think killing that... person was wrong. We just leaving this room for the landlord to find?"
Dannylonglegs Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Erik scowls, looking around at the corpses decorating the room. "For once, I can't say I think killing that... person was wrong. We just leaving this room for the landlord to find?" "Well if we close the door, the landlord'll have to solve the Skull's riddle's first before entering... by the time he realizes something's amiss, it won't be our problem." Stated Sylph nonchalantly as he fostered his revived plants and directed them to the window. Edited May 31, 2013 by Dannylonglegs
Myrddyn Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Yeah, that skull... Maybe it saw the blue assassin? I remember it spoke about its master as if it knew we weren't him. I think it let us in on purpose." The skull practically giggles at Sylph. “Not bad, not bad, color me impressed But still, my Master expects only the best!”
Dannylonglegs Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Yeah, that skull... Maybe it saw the blue assassin? I remember it spoke about its master as if it knew we weren't him. I think it let us in on purpose." "Hmm. that is possible, but I doubt it. I think our best lead right now is to go down to the bar and talk with that demon slayer. Oh, and Monk, if I can't have the boots, I'd like the tonic. I don't need the robe, and I'd likely sell it if you gave it to me." Sylph stated as he stood up from his pet plants. "hm." he chuckled approvingly at their vigor.
Vash the Stampede Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "What?!?" I throw a venomous glare Dreyrugr's way. "Is this true? You stole the loot. To think that could have given us valuable clues, but now it's been touched by unsanitized hands." "Oh do shut up. As much as you might hate me we have both been hired for the same job. If you really hate me so much the door's right over there. If you can put up with me then shut up. Yes I grabbed some of the Necromancer's stuff while efficiently slicing him and if you're worried about contamination I'm wearing gloves." I don't care about people hating me but I can always walk away from them unlike right now. Hopefully that gets Pretzel to shut it. "Now Nessa, you've been searching for an opal and now it's over. Erik, Sylph and Pretzel, all of you can have a bone. This robe seems pretty worn out and both of you who can use it already have something better. Pretzel, I'll give this to you. If you want to give it to Sylph then go ahead." Dreyrugr hands an opal to Nessa, a bone to Erik, Syplh and Pretzel along with the robe of the magi to Pretzel. "Here Erik, thanks for the sword." Dreyrugr gives voltedge back to Erik and then inspects the skeleton and picks up the staff???? on the chest. After doing that Dreyrugr inspects the bones of the summon to see if he could determine what it was.
Palathadric Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Pipe down. He provided us a service. If we hadn't slayed the necromancer, we wouldn't have gotten his items. Dreyrugr can't use the robe, so he's not going to keep it, I presume." "Bah humbug! It's not as if we ever looked like we would lose the battle! It's also no small wonder that the angel allowed him to hurt himself right after he stole the goods." "Well, druid, it seems like the tonic is yours. You need it more than me and none of the rest of them can use it." "Those boots." Stated Sylph. "I like them.... And they're my colour." "Father, you like these? They aren't my size." Nessa said waving the shoes in front of Pretzel. "Well, I wouldn't mind giving them to you, but they'd be useless in your hands or rather, on your feet. Being the only one who can use them, I will take them." "Thank you, Nessa!" I will take them for now. I put the boots in my inventory. I check if the bones can be of any use. I toss the Robe of the Magi to Sylph in disgust, not wanting to contaminate my hands by what's been touched by the vampire. "You should have given the loot to your party leader to distribute," I grunt.
Myrddyn Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Erik responds to Sylph. "Could be. Still, It's worth a shot." He takes Voltedge and the bone from Dreyrugr. "No worries. I was spoilt for weapon choice anyway. Thanks for the bone, I'll add it to my collection." He turns to Nessa. "I believe Mr Soryx said the orange woman was with the blue assassin. You were speaking with her earlier Nessa? If that was going well, perhaps you could pretend to be looking to hire an assassin?" Erik steps to the door and addresses the skull. "Mr Louis? You are sentient, right?" Edited May 31, 2013 by Myrddyn
herrJJ Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "An opal? But... Why do you have my opal? Oh won't you stop it? You ignorant fool! Thank you, kind Dreyrugr. It is worth alot, though not mine. But that is not relevant any more. Yes, it is. Now even more!" Nessa stepped back and continued mumbling.
Dannylonglegs Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dreyrugr hands an opal to Nessa, a bone to Erik, Syplh and Pretzel along with the robe of the magi to Pretzel. "Thank you." Stated Sylph humbly. "Bah humbug! It's not as if we ever looked like we would lose the battle! It's also no small wonder that the angel allowed him to hurt himself right after he stole the goods." I toss the Robe of the Magi to Sylph in disgust, not wanting to contaminate my hands by what's been touched by the vampire. "You should have given the loot to your party leader to distribute," I grunt. "Thank you." Stated Sylph cordially. "I realize now that the boots would be rather worthless on me... make good use of them monk." "Well, since we're done here, we should go downstairs."
Palathadric Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dreyrugr hands an opal to Nessa, a bone to Erik, Syplh and Pretzel along with the robe of the magi to Pretzel. "Take your bone!" I throw the bone back at the vampire. "Have you all finished searching the room?" I search through the little pile of items to see if there's anything else useful that we may have left out.
CMP Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Dreyrugr gives voltedge back to Erik and then inspects the skeleton and picks up the staff???? on the chest. After doing that Dreyrugr inspects the bones of the summon to see if he could determine what it was. The staff just looks to be a dried plant, that Sylph has revived and draped out the window. The bones looked to be those a wolf, resembling the creature they just fought. I check if the bones can be of any use. The bones are too mangled and bloody to be of any helpfulness. Erik steps to the door and addresses the skull. "Mr Louis? You are sentient, right?" The skull doesn't respond, motionless. Whatever enchantment Vaughn on it must have lifted with his death. I search through the little pile of items to see if there's anything else useful that we may have left out. There doesn't seem to be anything else.
herrJJ Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Downstairs?" Nessa asked with her thumb pointing over her shoulder.
Myrddyn Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 "Yeah, I'm ready to go. One at a time again? If we're going to confront that orange lady, it might take two or three of us to cut off her escape routes. Intimidation would probably be helpful, too. Though I think we should try a less direct approach first."

CMP Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 Nothing much had changed downstairs. The hooded girl was still gone, but everyone else remained. Soryx was now chatting idly with the bartender.

"Pardon me, friend." stated Sylph to the Demon Hunter. He then whispered. "but I believe you said you... saw a man in blue? would you mind telling me about him?"

Dannylonglegs Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Soryx turned his head to Sylph. "I'm afraid that's all I know - but my friend Quillius here recalls him." He tilted his head towards the bartender, who nodded as he wiped down a glass. "Ayup. Orc type, blue coat. Wouldn't say a word. Came in with the orange one over there." "Ah, thank you. Would you mind elaborating? He entered, but did he leave?"
Dannylonglegs Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 "Of course he left, do you see him here now?" "Interesting.... when did he come in? when did he leave?" Sylph asked, passing the barkeeper another coin for his trouble.
CMP Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 "He's been in and out a couple times over the past week. Last time I saw him was today, left about an hour ago."
Dannylonglegs Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 "He's been in and out a couple times over the past week. Last time I saw him was today, left about an hour ago." "Excellent. That's just what I wanted to know... what did he look like apart from orcish? Did he carry any weapons? Did he wear a hood? Did his coat have a tear in it?"
CMP Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 "Might'a been hiding a dagger or something, but nothing bigger than that. If he had a hood it wasn't up. It was a ratty coat, couldn't tell."
