Nessa stumbled as the monk pushed her out of his was. After he stopped talking she turned to the woman: "I don't know who you are." She looked to the male mage. "Jules, ey? Quite an irregular name for a male captain. So please tell me, where do we find the Blue Assassins?"

"Nessa," I seeth, "be polite!"

I turn to Dreyrugr, "If you weren't a vampire, I'd ask you to use that net on Nessa, but since you are, I'll ask you to use it on yourself...and then toss yourself overboard." :devil:

"You seem to have the situation under control, but would you like me to take Nessa outside?"

He then adressed her. "It is as my companions say, Mam. Our goal is to find a murderer, and the investigation led us here. Would either of you happen to know anything about Blue Assassins, a Merchant named Rorik, or a murder in the Winking Gargoyle Inn?"

All that was obvious to Nessa was the Mulled Wine in the Captain's hand and her things on the coat rack.

The necromancer is interrupted by a violently loud boom that rattles the heroes' eardrums, followed by an enormously loud splash. Without hesitation, the captain grabs her things and exits onto the deck, muttering curses the whole while. Jules limps out after her. The heroes poke their heads outside as well. There, they see a disconcerting sight - a squad of Bonapartes is standing stiffly in position on the pier leading up to the ship.

"- the stick up your megablocks must be less than this tall to get on my ship."

The Bonaparte squad look about ready to attack, as does Zasies, and Jules looks prepared as well. The Captain and the sergeant were meeting eachother's gaze, one with silent frustration, the other with smug satisfaction. What will the party do?

Erik equips his Peacekeepers Totem instead of the Hide of the Suffering.

He looks around at the two sides readying weapons. "Look guys, how about we try talking about this before we start fighting." He turns to the leader of the Bonaparte patrolmen. "What is the reason you wish to arrest these people, Sir?"

If I could make a conditional action to change back to the Hide of the Suffering right before the fight starts, that would be cool, though I don't expect it.

OoC: Forth Wall Shmorth Shwall. :tongue: It's not like Sylph said Henry. Also, I think 'Let's get this over with.' has become Sylph's battle cry.

"Now let's get this over with. Jules, follow my lead: target Morgan with a water spell. Dreyrugr, I believe your skills and that nice blade of yours would serve us best targetting the one in charge. Likewise, I do not want him to steal your gloves, which would make him quite powerful against Jules. I will Seal their leader, since he could really make this fight difficult. Monk, I want you to hit the man-in-armour with your 'flying cross.' I'll heal you if you get stunned. Zasies, take-out one of the weaker chaps so that I can reasign you faster. Captain, help Dreyrugr with the Sargeant. Nessa, Erik, take out Colby. Erik, I particularly want you to stay away from Morgan and that armoured Cadet. "What's this all about? Since when do Bonapartes attack friendly folks for no reason? We are not part of this crew. Why do you start fighting us. Methinks you guys aren't working for the Bonapartes at all, but this is all just a ruse to get money from this crew. Now granted, this crew does strike me as being one that could be dabbling in illegal activities what with this orange glob, the hobgoblin, and a mage on board, but that doesn't mean you can just start randomly attacking those who are with them. Got to have some respect people. Also, what kind of uniforms are those? Hardly the kind of seen the Bonapartes wear. And since when have the Bonapartes accepted less than fit sailors in their navy. Got to say, fellows that you're pretty darn suspicious. Come to think of it, the assassin we're looking for was dressed in blue, and you seem in an awful hurry to attempt to stop our investigation.
