Palathadric Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 "What do you know, even the demon stands by me." "What is that green thing under the trunk?" I Dig with My Shovel. "When we're through here, let's head down the long corridor and then, perhaps go north and east again."
CMP Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Pretzel's Magic Shovel loses its glow as he digs for the third time. Shackles of War - (Prevents anyone from fleeing, accessory, suitable for anyone)
herrJJ Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 "Well Pretzel, if I might make a wish I would be glad to get the garnet at the end of our duty here. Just only if noone else wants to get it. For now I am also fine with your suggestion."
Dannylonglegs Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 "That is fine Monk, as long as the loot is distributed once we've finished our task." Stated Sylph. "Now, let's check out the dead-end on the other side of the spider den."

"Now, let's check out the dead-end on the other side of the spider den." "You have nothing to fear. A man of the cloth never cheats others." I dig with my Magic Shovel. I Dig with My Shovel while We Wait for Dreyrugr. I Dig with My Shovel. I was wondering why I was getting so lucky with my Shovel and getting loot each time. Only the first time I dug with the Magic Shovel and the other times I was using my other shovel, but I guess it's all good.
herrJJ Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 "Thank you, Pretzel. I appreciate this. So we go on now, right?"

Just don't expect it to get any better... The party goes around to the opposite side of the spider den, but find only a dead end.
Myrddyn Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 "If we go south and west, we could try to come up behind that crumbling rock we tried to get through earlier."

Palathadric Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I take the Garnet out of its place in my pack and look thoughtfully at it. My mind wanders on the usefulness of mages and their bursts of power through elemental gems. It's been a long time. Can I do it? I hold the gem outright. Time for concentration. The feeling of power I held in the old days runs back into my mind. My thoughts whirl back in time as I review the chant to thoughtfully memorized so many years ago. But no. Now was not the time. I had put the works of magic away many years ago and sworn never to pick it up again. Magic is not something to be dabbled with. The realm of the ethereal is not to be tapped into so that its power can be used for harmful purposes. It is only for healing. I store the gem back in the cart and withdraw my pickaxe, striking at the wall in sync with Erik's movements. "After this, we head north," I declare boldly, trying to take my mind off the places it had traveled to. I had sworn never to think on those things again.

Palathadric Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) Sylph's nurture would remove that effect from Erik, correct? "Let's head north," I say, giving up in frustration. "Druid, heal Erik." Palathadric Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Now, I'm confused, would a remedy work? I shuffle around with my pickaxe to see if there's anything of worth to us amongst the rubble, if not we head south, straight south.
CMP Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 Pretzel smartly notices the rubble from the crumbling wall and pokes through it, digging up a wicked-looking flail. Orcish Morning Star - WP: 9, mace
Dannylonglegs Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 "Let's go South then." Stated Sylph, picking up the Morning Star for himself. "I could use a weapon that doesn't damage our grabs. Nessa can hold onto my old bow a bit longer too, in-case we run afoul of another ethereal foe."
Palathadric Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) "Your choice, if you want it, you can have it. I already have one and I would never use a weapon fashioned by an orc, so only you or our vampire friend would be able to use it." I add the "friend" part very mockingly. I hand the Morning Star to Sylph. We head straight south. Slow day, huh? Where are you all? Edited June 27, 2013 by Palathadric

Dannylonglegs Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Yes, a Remedy would work. The party heads south, and turns a left, reaching another fork. Will they go north, east, or west? Then Nurture should too. "You look tired Erik. Let me fix that." Stated Sylph as he called upon the roots of life to reinvigorate Erik. "North."
