CMP Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 But it's not Nurture outside of battle, it's just regular Healing, I think.
Dannylonglegs Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 But it's not Nurture outside of battle, it's just regular Healing, I think. I was under the impression that it functioned the same in and out of battle (and I think it's worked that way for me before.) but I could be wrong.

I could be wrong too, it's just that if you could use Nurture outside of battle, I'd think it'd be listed as a job trait. As it is, it's just normal Healing. Edited June 27, 2013 by CallMePie
Dannylonglegs Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I could be wrong too, it's just that if you could use Nurture outside of battle, it'd be listed as a job trait. As it is, it's just normal Healing. Fair enough. I'll abide by your ruling. "On second thought... Try a tonic." Stated Sylph, looking at his hands. Unless, of course, you want to wait for battle."
herrJJ Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 OOC: sorry guys, I am currently busy with my preparations for our Sweden camping trip. So I might post a little less. As for decisions Nessa will follow the party leader's choices.
Palathadric Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 "A tonic? Good druid, I don't think a tonic would do much for Erik here." I use a Remedy on Erik. "North, it is." I believe this is the exit, but I want to sniff out these tunnels thoroughly lest we discover some hidden agents of darkness herein." OOC: sorry guys, I am currently busy with my preparations for our Sweden camping trip. So I might post a little less. As for decisions Nessa will follow the party leader's choices. Cool! Thanks for letting us know.
Myrddyn Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 "Thanks, gentlemen. Yeah, searching the tunnels before we leave sounds good."
Palathadric Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 "It's odd. I've been with Heroica, since rejoining, for some time now, yet this is my first quest within Eubric itself. Really, I must say, I prefer being out in the country. Much more magnificent. In my last quest we went to Dastan to cure a plagued dragon. Beauteous scenery there, you know."

"Eubric is a pit. a black, man-made pit. I much prefer the countryside as well."
Vash the Stampede Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 "Eubric is a pit. a black, man-made pit. I much prefer the countryside as well." "What did you expect of a city of trade?" Slow day, huh? Where are you all? I'm going to take a wild guess and say you probably live on the other side of the world compared to Myrddyn and myself so our absence while you're online isn't that strange.

"The same thing I expect of all cities." Stated Sylph nonchalantly.
Myrddyn Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 "Can't say I think much of cities, either. Cheaper booze, but of a lesser quality. More greed and violence, though that could be simply a result of having more people."

CMP Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) The party heads north, and turns a left. The voices Dreyrugr had been hearing returned quickly. The source became clear at once - two small figures just ahead, their backs to the heroes, were talking casually. "-etty cool, huh?" "Dunno 'bout cool. Only Moke's been out since, eh, well...." "Don't worry about it. I don't even think it was one of us. Where would we even get the stuff from, anyway? No, man. There's only one answer." "....Humans?" "Humans." They don't appear to have noticed the party yet. Edited June 28, 2013 by CallMePie
Dannylonglegs Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Sylph gestured the party to back out their line of sight. "Alright." Sylph whispered. "Someone obviously non-human... Dreyrugr. Find out if those people ahead of us know about the Gnome underground settlement."

"If you ask me this seems more of a diplomatic job rather than an intimidating one, and there seems to be a figure made of rock so intimidation even from a vampire I don't think will work very well" Dreyrugr whispered back. I may get on a bit late tomorrow so if someone wants to dictate Dreyrugr intimidating them that's fine.
Myrddyn Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 "He looks more human than you do with that gear on, mister Solanum. And that blonde guy up ahead looks like he might be a gnome." Erik interjected quietly.

Erik interjected quietly. "Hmmm. True. But I don't have any diplomatic skill to speak of." Stated Sylph. "And, Yes, that's why I think he might be able to help."
Dannylonglegs Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 "I could try if you'd like?" Stated Sylph after short deliberation.
Myrddyn Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) "Oh- well, yeah, maybe. Dunno. I'm not even certain they dislike humans, we could've misunderstood them. Um, dunno. I mean, just 'cos you've got no special diplomatic skill doesn't mean you can't make friends, hey? Try talking to them if you wan'to." Edited June 28, 2013 by Myrddyn

If you recall, the gnomish village is averse to humans." Sylph stated. "Alright, would one of you hand me your smoke bomb?"
Dannylonglegs Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 "Good. I should be back soon." Sylph walked back to the short person and the rockling.
CMP Posted June 29, 2013 Author Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) Sylph calls back to the party a few moments later. The two figures watched (in shock to one, in awe to the other) as the heroes materialized in the darkness. "I knew it! I told you! Humans travel in packs of four to seven to maintain their cohesiveness as part of the herd, while small enough to avoid detection by larger predators!" The figure takes out a notebook and starts scribbling in it. "...Speak....english......intelligence....roughly....on....par...with...ours......pack behavior....confirmed. " "Some of 'em are covered in armor." "Don't be stupid. Those are their natural bone plate exoskeletons. The other ones are just mimicking our appearance. I told you they were shapeshifters!"
