JopieK Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 nice idea those snow imprints from the car... what is the idea of the thief and officer?! ;) Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Nice winter scene......great idea using the van from 4207 parking garage as a food van.....Brick On in the snow 'crayonboi' ! (footnote - I think the crook stole a 100 bucks from the bakery......he stole some dough ! ) Quote
Kristel Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 This is a great little scene! The brown and tan path is really effective. Will this be consistent across the scenes? Quote
crayonboi Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 This is a great little scene! The brown and tan path is really effective. Will this be consistent across the scenes? Thanks.. yes.. all my scenes will have this brown tan path.. Nice winter scene......great idea using the van from 4207 parking garage as a food van.....Brick On in the snow 'crayonboi' ! (footnote - I think the crook stole a 100 bucks from the bakery......he stole some dough ! ) But the van look kinda 'thin' from the top view, wanted to make it 6 stub wide but space constraint. :P nice idea those snow imprints from the car... what is the idea of the thief and officer?! ;) Ha.. it can be the thief stole it from the bakery like what 'lightningtiger' mention or stole it from the hot dog van.. :) Quote
crayonboi Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 This is my winter village bakery expansion Added a hot dog van into the scene Hope you all enjoy it..! Cheers! Working on the winter village post office expansion now, hope to show you all in a few days time.. :) Here come the expansion for the Winter post office as promise.. :) Overall view of the winter post office Feel that the Mail van is too long, so decided to remove the front part and make it shorter.. quite satisfied with the mod.. :D A band of musicians A lady reading a book in the park while enjoying the music Two little Red post box Hey! You left a box behind! Next in line in my winter bus station which i submitted for the Winter Village Expand Contest III :) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78792&hl= Quote
sgeureka Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 This looks great, crayonboi. I'm looking forward to seeing them all attached side by side. Quote
Zula Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 This is really great!!! One thing I never much understood was why there was so little snow on the post office roofs!?!?!?!??? That's no reflection on you - just wonder why Lego did that when other buildings had much more or A LOT! Quote
Wodanis Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Loving this idea. Question, I was unaware of Lego making a lamp post piece in red. Is this a custom product? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 (edited) Zula - each winter village set has its own theme basically. Like the WV Cottage last year was created to look like it just went through a snowstorm and that's why it has so much more snow than the others. Watch the designer videos. They are quite fun and informative. Wodanis - That piece has come in quite a few different colors actually. I like seeing a whole diorama with the sets. It makes them feel even more complete. However, my complaint is definitely against the mail truck. I think it looks too stubby now without the front engine. Just my opinion. The rest of the set-up looks great. I like the tiled sidewalk and the guy plowing. Very fitting. Keep up the good work. I'd love to see the others blended in as well. This inspires me to do the same with mine sometime if I ever find the pieces. Edited August 9, 2013 by TheLegoDr Quote
Hey Joe Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Hey! I remember seeing this back in May, but I guess I was too busy at that time to comment on it. Anyway, your work is always very nice. The bus station is great. Did you get the latest Cottage? I'd like to see what you've done with it if possible. Thanks, Joe Quote
crayonboi Posted August 10, 2013 Author Posted August 10, 2013 Hi all! Thanks for the comments! Thanks to TheLegoDr for helping me to answer some of the question, and for your question regarding the mail van, at first i was quiet reluctant to make the changes to the mail van, but i still find the end product quite pleasing to me. :) Hey Joe - I still left with the winter toy shop and winter cottage yet to build and make it into a scene. Quite busy with my kids and my Iron Man MOC http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=83224 Still finding time to build it and expand it. But i have complete another scene recently, which is the my winter bus station. I have re-design the bus station so that i will be slightly smaller and can fit into my 32x32 scene. Hope you all will like it. Cheers! Soooo, there come the pictures..! Enjoy! And finally, my 3 scenes join up together; (Sorry for the poor lighting) Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I like that bus stop. I'd like to see some more color on the side walls, but otherwise it fits in pretty well. The playground area is a nice touch, although it must not be too cold out in your winter village. Some people don't even have coats on! Quote
crayonboi Posted December 26, 2016 Author Posted December 26, 2016 Its been some time since i have continue with my Winter Village expansion. Thus i will like to one of the latest expansion for the Winter village Santa Workshop diorama. I have make this Diorama for our local Christmas Brick Show held last weekend, total there are 6 diorama including the 3 diorama which i have done previously. The remaining 2 diorama i will finish up the photo shoot soon and share it. :) Quote
Vindicare Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Great job! I really like the bases you built. I set mine up, but just on those 48x48 baseplates. I like the connectivity so you can take the sets off & take apart. Then store the bases as well. Going to look into that for next year. Quote
crayonboi Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 Another Scene for my Winter Village, Winter Toy shop expansion :) Quote
Venunder Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Nice details.I like the path that ties it all together. The sausage van is always a welcome addition to a skating session. A busy little street is always hard to do. Although I prefer a little more space, I think you did okay. Quote
crayonboi Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 The 6th scene of my Winter Village Expansion, Winter Village Cottage, but more of like Ghostbuster Winter Village Cottage. Quote
