You should post a link to your MLCAD Sub-Model Tutorial Mr ZCerberus as ChrisF2006 may find it very useful should he decide to begin using MLCAD.

Perhaps so!

If you want to learn the secret to using the 'multi-part' feature in MLCAD, then check out the tutorial here!

You will get to see how Phes's sentry box could use submodels to make designing easier!

Here is one of the screen shots from the tutorial!

I want to use that but it won't let me download it, so I have to use LeoCad, and itn sucks!

Maybe something with your firewall? Probably not because you could download the LeoCad...

Try this: Download MLCad

AAGH! This is so bloody frustrating! After installing it for the 100th time, it appears not all parts are there!!!

I'm really not good with MLCAD but I really need it! Isn't there a getting started tutorial somewhere?!

Have a nice day,

Mr Tiber

Do you need help with the installation or with the program itself?

How do you determine that not all parts are there? Which are missing?

Both....

The most important for me: ship hulls, steering wheels etc.

But when I installed it once last year, there was a bloody big list of parts in each category. I stopped because it took me too long to find a part... And now it's a very tiny list compared to the one I had last year...

This is how I did the installation part:

Step 1: Install LDraw and the Parts Library

Step 2: Download MLCad and unzip in C:\LDRAW

Now run the program 'MLCad.exe' (e.g. double click on it). Its in the directory C:\LDRAW.

A dialog might be shown asking you for a Lego Base Path, this is the directory to which you installed the Ledit.exe and complete.exe. This is also C:\LDRAW.

Hope this helps...

EDIT: I was just reading a discussion on MLCad on Lowlug and there was a link to a complete package with installer. Here is this link. So this installer will do all the work for you! It includes LDraw, Parts Library, MLCad, ....
