rocklego Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 @rocklego, in front there is a little bit truss structure because without this chassis won't be stable. The whole frame is rigid to such an extent that 4th wheel almost don't touch the ground. So frame bend at all, not only in front. From the pic you posted , I realized indeed the frame is rigid. But the weight of cabin resulted in the front frame bending . Not only 4th wheel off ground but also the first wheel got compressed under stress . It looks like ABS frame still couldn't be as rigid as realistic metal frame to withstand high load. Quote
grum64 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Truly Awesome! You have a skill that mere mortals can only dream of but all aspire to! Quote
Doc_Brown Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Yes the frame is bending, but the cab is upright! I think Waler did the best that can be done from lego, and that's excellent. Quote
Waler Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 @rocklego As you noticed Lego is made only with ABS plastic so the frame bend itself. First axle is under high stress and driving only bend it more. Curiosity: My MAZ was posted onto The Car Lego Blog: http://thelegocarblog.com/tag/maz/ Quote
