Here's where the fake votes stand:

The Witch (Waterbrick Down): 1 vote (Hinckley)

The Female Lover (Hinckley): 1 vote (Rufus)

The Blacked-Out Night Action Dude (Bob): 1 vote (fhomess)

The Jester (CallMePie): 1 vote (Tamamono)

The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam): 1 vote (TrumpetKing)

:sceptic: That's all over the board...

Why the Goon in particular? Why not the Jester, the roleplayer, the PGO, The witch ot the Virgin? They all have low post count (lower than the Goon actually)!

And yes, policy-lynch the Stump!

No, not in particular. The goon is merely another person who isn't terribly present at the moment. We could policy-lynch everyone, but we'd be screwed then.

I have to say, Doctor, I have to agree with FDL here. I'm a bit disturbed that you're proposing a policy lynch. Policy lynches based on inactivity are not, in general, a good idea. Policy lynch a player for lynch all liars, sure, but inactivity doesn't tell you anything conclusive. Conceivably, we still have plenty of night actions available to us with which to investigate those players and we're early in day 2 still.

This is a great analysis Doctor. I initially voted for the Stump yesterday, and I think I may very well do the same today.

There has seemed to be questionable behavior across the board so far, making it hard to really hone in on somebody. There have been a handful of VERY quiet people, and those are personally who I'm interested in. Day 2 has been here for a while now and only a handful of us have even chimed in it seems.

As for the voting and who tied the vote and who gave someone the lead. In all fairness, it was very hard to know even where the vote stood yesterday. I know that I will pay more attention to where we stand as far as votes go, but since it appears we don't need a majority to lynch, bandwagoning on somebody becomes less of an issue. Hell, a tied vote today at the top doesn't really even come into play with the 2 lynches(unless there are more than 2 tied, I know  )

I'm not at all put at ease by this post. You're looking to vote the Stump again today because he hasn't contributed much. Are you just like the doctor? Eager to pick out those townies who you might be able to get a lynch going on due to inactivity. While the Stump hasn't contributed frequently, what he's had to say hasn't been scummy. The content of what is presented is far more important than the frequency.

You're also here trying to defend those who tied the vote. Which of your teammates tied the vote yesterday and now have heat on them because of it? Also... "it appears we don't need a majority to lynch"... were you in doubt of this yesterday? I think you're trying to pretend like you didn't know something that was made abundantly clear to all of us, and even discussed in detail during the lynch. I'll add a Fakevote: Male Lover for this post.

Although not the best option, it is still a viable option. He may not have appeared scummy but what if that was the intent? What if he was hoping to fly under the radar? My poking him by proposing a lynch is a way to get him to talk.

Fair enough. I can agree with this.

Do you know how many times this happens? A vote shouldn't be a poke. Are you to unvote as soon as he talks? Remember that last game, Harriet Slutter, where every Scum member received a vote, almost always with the caveat, "this is just to get them to talk" and then the Scum would talk, since that's all they were told they needed to do to get un-voted, and provide a sound statement and then slide back under the radar? So, shall we invite all the Scum to make sound, believable statements so we can not pay attention to them?

A vote is a vote to kill that person, not to ask them to talk. If they won't respond in thread, send them a PM. If they don't respond or are dodgy by PM, bring it out in thread and then vote. But proposing a lynch or voting for someone just to get them to talk is starting to become a free pass.

 Sorry, The Goon. I wanted to take it yesterday. It just calls to me. Funny we both have the same taste.

Now that was a game with really good scenery and theming. :cry_happy: I wish I could've played Mafia School!

Glad you were able to pick up what I was throwing down there. Yes, I'm not at ease with players that post about 3 times per day, and 1 is to take a pill, and another is to vote, and then run off. If you think that's townie behavior, I guess we're playing a different game.

I'll admit, yes, I thought we needed a majority to lynch, it's one of the reasons I changed my vote because I didn't want it to not matter at all. I didn't read the rules REALLY close and since my only other experience of this was where a majority was needed, in my mind I thought that we did here as well, I know that we don't now. I'm not perfect, sorry for that.

Really?

It seems we haven't gotten too far with any voting so far, and I just wanted to point out that it seems if there is no majority, one of us is dead anyway. Might as well be someone that is at least ASSUMED scum as opposed to a random, which as of now, is better odds to be a townie than not, and with the amount of roles out there, even a decent chance of a power role to get killed. I have no problem changing my vote if need be, as there are a few that seem to have come up suspicious so far today.

This post actually quoted the Werewolf telling us that the person with the most votes would be lynched.

That post also demonstrates that he really does believe, at the time, a majority is needed. He's a pizza delivery boy not a rocket scientist. :look: Not that it takes a rocket scientist, My Male Lover. :hmpf: Anyway, people make mistakes. I'm not saying that The Male Lover isn't Scum. I'm just saying I believe that he thought we needed a majority to lynch. Sometimes people miss the finer details when trying to concentrate on the bigger game.

And while I'm not a seasoned vet, I don't like the idea of using your vote as a *poke*, especially when we only have one un-vote per day.

Actually that post backs up my claim that I was under the wrong assumption, only proving my point. I was saying that if we didn't reach a majority, one of us would be dead anyway because the Werewolf said somebody would be eaten at random if there was no lynch. Got it yet?

Thank you, Lover Girl, you posted while I was typing.

(oh no, somebody came to another player's defense, they MUST be scum  )

Hence the reasoning for not actualy voting; I am suggesting a potential lynch, no voting was done nor do I intend on casting my vote on the stump first-thing.

Yes but the quotes above demonstrate that he specifically stated 2 days ago (RL) and before his vote that he knew it was not required. Then today he says he did not know.

See above; no vote was cast ... merely speculating, throwing ideas around!

That's why we have fake votes in this game. A fake vote is only a more formal way of accusing someone, but it's still not a real vote. Heck, I've got two fake votes out there right now. We need to prod and poke people we're suspicious of so that we can figure out if those suspicions are warranted or not, and so that we can agree on a best lynch. It's unlikely we're going to have enough evidence on day 2 to convict someone with certainty. Early in the day is the time for these types of pokes. Anyone who suggests we shouldn't be poking (which is not what I think you're doing) is anti-town.

In that case, I get that you have selective reading skills. Or you're being willfully negligent in that regard.

You what?? No, damn it people. We have to treat them like real votes. If you want to un-vote, please do a fake un-vote. It works best if we run it with the actual tally like a blueprint for the actual vote. Don't abuse the fake system I made up and want to control. Don't do it!

Treat these like real votes and I'll start counting the real votes in the same tally once votes start coming in. Trust me on this. When you see it done the way I intended it, it'll be much more clear. But don't go fake voting all over the place with out un-voting first please!
