BaronSat Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Anyway, I can't wait to see more of the Death Star is there any rooms in the middle of the death star, that you can't see in the pics? I have a few left photos like this one showing the inner part (just under the gunner turret) and this one I have just made not a lot of action but good view. I have 2 photos left from the Trash compactor "working" if someone want to see them... do you think you can alter, or rebuid your death star 1 and change it into the death star 2, with the broken surface? That's an interesting idea but for now I consider I have finish with the DS and want to build something else like Bespin or Xavier mansion. But I haven't build anything interesting these days... can't concentrate. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted March 3, 2007 Governor Posted March 3, 2007 BaronSat delivers us his latest masterpiece, an intricantly detailed, three dimensional diaorama of the original Death Star, just hours before the Battle of Yavin. His masterful craftmanship exceeds the boundaries of dual dimensive mundanity and cubicular claustrophobia - the Baron is literally thinking outside the square, or perhaps even "beyond" it. The MOCs facetted circumscription allows for a conglomeration of what many builders would churn out as a series of subordinated creations. Here we experience a transcendence of unified concepts all cohering harmoniously into BaronSat's chef d'oeuvre (at least for now). However, its brilliance is undermined by the fact Star Wars is the brainchild of George Lucas. Had BaronSat strained his creative facualties to concoct a creation of his own cognition, I'd be elevated to an unsurpassed realm of awestricken euphoria. Quote

oo7 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 What admirably exquisite detail you have integrated into your dexterous appraisal, Mister Phes! Although certainly adequate, it is unfortunate that only the dramatically superior pieces will instigate such meticulous detail. i have absolutely no idea what you said! Good for you! :-| Quote

Well, he seems to have mastered the art of key movie franchise emulation, so why so quick to change it? There's still so many films left to be whalloped with a sack of bricks by him. And on a horribly LAME level of having anything to do with this topic, 1977 Star Wars Holiday Special prototypes of Chewbacca's family. >__< Well... we are talking about vintage SW, yes? http://www.starwarsholidayspecial.com/merc.../prototypes.htm Edited August 24, 2007 by JINZONINGEN 73 Quote
sho Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Revisiting this amazing MOC, you can only wonder how much the LEGO designers used this as a reference for the official set Quote
Skipper 24 Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Yep this is an amazing MOC. The grey corridor/tunnel look really good. I also like the DS gunner minifig. Quote
russianhill Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 - Just my small comment, but my-oh-my, that Lego Star Wars Palitoy Cardboard Death Star is breath-taking. Just SO impressive! I could never create something that incredible. Paul Quote
Fuppylodders Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I know this has been necro'd and I wouldn't normally respond for stated reason, but dam! Can't believe I missed this! Now I know where TLG got their 10188 inspiration from Quote
Hammerstein NWC Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I still own this cardboard palitoy set and can I see I think your rendition of it is truly inspiring. I loved this toy. My mother picked it up for me in Mint condition in 1986 (or there abouts) and I played it into oblivion - the garbage chute was a particular favorite of mine! My favorite piece is your recreation of the gunner port which looks infinitely better than the real thing!! :) Quote
