750ACE Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Did you bricklink the motors and remote. Did you get the battery box with auxiliary power port as well or standard rc battery box. Quote

Yes I did! Yes I got the battery box with Auxiliary power too! I was disappointed when the Aux power does not run a new servo, but does a M and L motor, haven't tested an XL yet. @Piterx what do i win? Sunshine!!!! General Lee ( Dukes of Hazzard) What do I win? Yes you are correct! Sunshine of course! Well done for guessing. Quote
Kwon Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hi Everyone! This thread will contain all my WIP with regular updates, and finished projects will have their own thread, with high quality pics, videos and maybe files. I will be using this to document everything I do with Lego Technic! Gone a bit mad To start with, here is my current problem!!!! My Patria 8x8 AMV ....broke I was just testing on level ground, then a small object and crack! :cry_sad: I will just swap them over from left to right, but still very puzzling after not even going off-road! Is this a known flaw? Anyone else experienced simpler breakage? My other current project is a 32 Ford Hot Rod. Here is a quick video of performance. It features live axles front and rear and chassis modeled of the real thing. 2XL motors power and 1 servo for steering. More pics are coming soon, so stay tuned! Thanks for looking! Hey! I wondering You remember me, The First commenter to your Ford chassis video, Even in one minutes Very nice, Love your Rock crawler and Reaper, That was really inspiring! Quote

It does, you just have to place an empty BatteryBox between the output and the Servomotor (If I understand it good ) (Credits to 'reslickade') Greets, Fresko Edited June 25, 2013 by fresko Quote

Very good solution. Do you have any idea why electronically it doesn't work? I'm fascinated to know. Hey! I wondering You remember me, The First commenter to your Ford chassis video, Even in one minutes Very nice, Love your Rock crawler and Reaper, That was really inspiring! Yes I remember you and your amazing fast response time! Thanks very much, means a lot! I'm glad I inspire, cos others inspire me! WIP update: I'm currently trying to build a quick crawler using the RC motors as I did with NXT motors, proving to be a bit tricky, here is the 5th version, not completed tho. the 16t gear will b the steering. :D thanks for reading! Lipko Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 What about the Hot Rod? Are you building many MOCs in parallel, or most of your WIP models won't get pass the WIP state? Quote
Doc_Brown Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 What about the Hot Rod? Are you building many MOCs in parallel, or most of your WIP models won't get pass the WIP state? Thanks for your good question! The Hot rod is waiting for the servo currently in the Reaper, which is waiting to be filmed! The Patria and still waiting for parts to arrive, cos I broke the (black ball steering bit) I say most of mine get past the WIP state. :D I do a lot of experiments, and if they work, that usually results in a development stage. z3_2drive Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Interesting, I've had a couple goes at trying to make a crawler with buggy motors on the axle....the rear was easy but never managed to implement steering on the front axle Good luck! Quote

OzBen Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Nice rod!! I just scrapped one I have been experimenting with for a while (still learning....) Looking forward to seeing this finished!! Quote
Junpei Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Besides the pulley wheel and the fan, can you see anything else moving in the engine? BTW you should use a 71427 motor for the engine, it spins at 2200-something RPM! Quote

BTW you should use a 71427 motor for the engine, it spins at 2200-something RPM! no you can't see anything else moving, but the pistols inside still work, i need to connect them to the drive still. hehe I'm not sure about the 71427 motor, cos I'm at the limit for 1 PF box. :) Quote
The Ghost Racer Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Those axles aren't resistant. How much did the wheels cost? Quote
Junpei Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Just wondering, why is one of the perpendicular split connectors upside-down (compared to the other one) with a pin in it? Edit: Sorry, I forgot to say that that is on the crawler. Quote
Doc_Brown Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Those axles aren't resistant. How much did the wheels cost? Those wheels cost about $5 Aus each new. :D Just wondering, why is one of the perpendicular split connectors upside-down (compared to the other one) with a pin in it? Edit: Sorry, I forgot to say that that is on the crawler. I'm sorry, I don't know what you are referring too? :) It's very late here. lol Quote
Junpei Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I am referring to the black axle and pin connector perpendicular double split (the black ones) on the left and right side on top of the portal axles. Sorry I am really late on that, I didn't notice the post date. Quote
Doc_Brown Posted July 9, 2013 Author Posted July 9, 2013 Oh hey thats totally cool! The reason they are different is cos I was experimenting with the axle to make it strong enough. This is where I'm upto now. Thanks for noticing it! Quote
The Ghost Racer Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) Those wheels cost about $5 Aus each new. :D I men' the tires not the wheels, what's the name of them? (the name of tires) Edited July 9, 2013 by The Ghost Racer Quote
