Legopard Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Hello I have a new Scene from the first LotR movie for you. The Weathertop: Don't miss to enjoy all the details on MOCpages! Hope you like it. Jonas Quote
Infernum Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Love the trees! Great shaping! So detailed! Is that a bee hive? I still think you should join the Guilds of Historica... Edited May 30, 2013 by Infernum Quote
Alcarin Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 love it. but tell me something where do you get those stuff where you connect those dark red/dark green leaves... that brown bendy stuff ;) I cannot identify that neither do i have any lol Quote
Wat Tambor Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 That looks superb, the official LEGO set should look like this! But how did you manage to attache the rocks for the hill? Quote
SteampunkDoc Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Oh, wow...That looks amazing. I'm quite impressed with all the tilted and randomly placed stone work on the side, it gives off a ruined feel that matches the location perfectly. The pillars, arches, and upper part of the MOC are fantastic. And very parts-intensive. The way you achieved the sloped effect in the tower floor is a great idea, and all the SNOT really pays off with the final look. All the different tree techniques create a sense of variety and 'wild-ness'. And there's just so much to gush over I'd better stop typing before I explode. Quote
Trance89 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Brilliant stone work! I love how detailed this MOC is. The foliage around it really adds to the atmosphere. Quote
Deathleech Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Your MOC looks a lot fuller of trees and vegetation than Weathertop appears in the movie, but it still looks really nice. i kind of prefer your version actually... Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 It's amazing how you did the landscaping with primarily basic bricks. I this! Quote
pif500 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Perfect rockwork, landscaping and ruins! Great work and i hope you continue lotr mocs. Just a little thing: darker pics would be better to traduce movie´s scene :) Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I love it. The foliage is great. The ground is covered and as overgrown as it looks, it actually isn't too much. I think it makes the area blend very well. And the rockwork adds some depth to everything. Everyone loves the curved wedges as rockwork. I don't love them, but they seem to work here. Keep up the good work. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Lovely build! All the SNOT work is well integrated and gives a great feel I agree with the others that said it does look a lot greener than the scene in the movie, but your landscape is excellent so that makes up for it Quote
Eurolock Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Looks great. Best weathertop MOC I've seen. I'm particularly interested because I'm about 75% of the way through building my own weathertop MOC and was curious to see how you had tackled the various problems. You've really nailed the 'ruined' look. Quote
brodey1 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Fantastic work I love all the unique pieces used for the rocks. love it. but tell me something where do you get those stuff where you connect those dark red/dark green leaves... that brown bendy stuff ;) I cannot identify that neither do i have any lol They appear to be brown whip pieces. Quote
Alcarin Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Fantastic work I love all the unique pieces used for the rocks. They appear to be brown whip pieces. And if i mind ask where do you get them :P some special sets or how cos I do not have any buying LOTR sets ;) Quote
