E: ^^^ 67 for a 42009? Damn I would have gotten a second one for myself at that price.

Grabbed a big box of technic parts of ebay for around 100 euros, almost all of it studless era. It turned out all the power functions, pneumatic, linear actuators, and wheels (wtf) were removed from the box before selling, however it did include sprockets (without links...), 4 pneumatic brackets, and at least 1 of the really rare linear actuator holders. So quite a weird selection of parts but still a good deal considering the amount of pieces in total, since it had 10 clutch gears, 15 frames, all the panels from the unimog and one or two other sets, etc.

They don't use € in Switserland, so a) you converted it from CHF into a more known currency or b) you bought it in Germany/Austria. In the latter case, I need to know where .

I bought it for CHF167.30... I converted it to EUR so other AFOL here can readily compare the prices

Last week I bought 17 technic models for AUD$650. used but complete with building instructions. Here are the list: 8292, 8294, 8295, 8256, 8263, 8264, 8272, 8273, 8274, 8289, 8465, 8466, 8068, 8071, 9394, 9395 and 8284.

Nice haul!!!

I've had a couple of interesting gum tree lots that I picked up recently

1st lot was a big lot of city/Mars/star wars but I saw some technic in there. It contained a complete 8674 ferarri F1 and a 99% complete 10178 motorized AT-AT walker. I just finished selling off all of the random stuff so those 2 ended up in my collection for $0 (I actully ended up about $200 in front)

2nd lot was I big bunch of technic sets bagged up very roughly, about 30 in all. I kept about half and sold on the rest to recoup my $$$ but the bargain is what was thrown on top of the box because they couldn't be bothered listing it, a 8880 (99% complete) a 10177 Boeing 787 (90% complete) and 6211 imperial star destroyer (99% complete) for free..........!!

:-D

Hi folks, I need your advice.

On one of the local web-markets I have come across this offer:

Price for the entire collection is ~75$. I have calculated the sum I'd have to pay if those were new and it makes around 290-300$, but are these sets worth buying?

75 usd sounds alright and will give you a good strting point for the 600 part MOC competition.

Just got a 42029 new for 50 €

For the dutchies here (and perhaps other regions as well). I stole this information from a topic on lowlug (http://www.lowlug.nl...=9309&start=160):

20% discount at Toys'r'us, but also 10% discount on anything with a value above 50 euro. Effectively 28% discount on their prices. To name a few:

42025 is now 76 euro

42029 is now 63 euro

42030 is now 150 euro

Doesn't work on all Technic sets, but it does for most. I couldn't resist a 42025 for 76 euro and a second wheel loader for 150 :classic:

Dude, thank you so much for this.

42030 for € 150 is an awesome price.

Now, to persuade the wife...

You're welcome :classic: Credit goes to Legorsk on Lowlug though. I just wanted to share it here so others could enjoy it too.

150 euro for the Loader is really awesome yea :sweet:

And... ordered!

When it hit the stores € 160 was the price I was aiming for.

So 150 is a nice price i think. Especially with all the PF parts.

at least the Buggy (front/middle), the orange quad and the green snowmobile are very good models... overall i would say, 75$ is ok - i would not pay more and it is not a real bargain but it is a fair price...

You're the master of finding bargains!

Looking forward to seeing some cool mocs from you now.

8466 4x4 Offroader: 35 € (dusty, but all the parts were there and not UV-damaged

8448 Super Car together with 8880 Super Car: 60 € (8448 only the roadster version, not with extra parts - like new)

8458 Silver Champion: 50 € (saw one going away for 28 €, but my internet lagged.. very dusty but after washing good condition)

8674 1:8 Ferrari F1: 38 € (dusty, good condition)

8653 Enzo Ferrari: 60 € (dusty, good condition)

8145 599 GTB Fiorano: 70 € (like new)

I think these are pretty much all my older sets, collected in the last three years.
