Bought a used 8145 in excellent condition with booklets but without box for 100 EUR. Seems like a good deal to me given the prices that I see regularly for this set ...

That's a good deal indeed... I wish I had that set.

I had a saved query on the 8145 on Marktplaats ... :-)

I'm most happy about the 2x BWE that I got last year for $200CAD(157USD or 137EUR) each. I have one copy on display and the other is in a WIP.

Just ordered the 42055 BWE from Costco.ca for $200, regular price is $330 Canadian. Big thanks to @dr_spock for the heads up.

Ordered 42054 also from costco at 149.99 a month back. Best. Deal. Ever.

Canada never gets good deals, do you find that?

Costco has very good prices, but their selection is abysmal. However, I did notice that Amazon has the same prices as them, which got me wondering if TLG hasn't started to artificially inflate prices just to make the actual price seem more attractive.  The BWE, Xerion and Volvo excavator are very nice sets, and I can't imagine that they sell poorly, but they have been permanently under the MSRP at both Costco and Amazon. Now we get 42070, and everyone's first complaint is the price. I'm curious to see if it will also be permanently discounted.

This being said, I'll wait for more data before declaring this an official pricing strategy.

Ebay is the place to search. And yard sales, but that requires a large amount of luck...

Nice finds, first place I look for stuff.

I found a 42055 for 140€ + 12€ shipping.
The main box was opened but all the parts remained in the bags, including the manual.

The seller bought it for her kid and realized what she has done and wanted to get rid of it.
Considering the shop sells it for 250€, i got it for a good price.

Everything at Costco is under MSRP, because everything is at wholesale price, rather than retail. They usually get more selection around christmas, and thankfully, all the big sets :)

I tried out lekekassen.no (Norwegian site) last week. All the Lego sets and categories on this site that I looked at, appears to be below the MSRP.
I didn't see any "sale" tags anywhere, so this appears to be standard.

In my case, I bought 42070 and 42063 and they were priced 25% and 29% below the S@H prices.

These are at least my best bargains yet.

Greetings from Finland everyone.

This is probably my best bargain because these technic Legos were basically free. These were near us for 80€ price and there was about 10kg other non technic Legos.

Once I bought 8110 Unimog with instructions for 40€.

Sorry about my worse English.

Good deal, I just scored a used 42029 custom pick-up for around 55€ and some time ago I got a brand new 42037 off roader for like 17€ due to wrong labeling. I also bought a used 8109 flatbed for 45€ :classic:
