lego2lego Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) I'm normally not into playsets, opting for UCS, but this is just plain gorgeous. The force is strong with this one... Edited June 1, 2013 by lego2lego Quote
snefroe Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 this is really great! a bit too expensive for a non-starwars fan, though... Quote
DrasticPlastic Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Breathtaking! Simply breathtaking! I have no room for it...but it's mine the day of release! I'm in love! Only criticism - why can't we get stormtroopers with printed legs - every other trooper has printed legs, even the scouts these days!! Quote
Legofin2012 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Amazing! Love all the details and colors, figs, apart from the Luke figure, everything! Quote
Trance89 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) The set looks amazing. I like the snot techniques used on the trees and the amount of details and figures. Only con in this set are tree logs. If they meant to cruch an AT-ST like in the movie than the are placed very low. Now they can only cruch the speederbike or a mini AT-ST. Collect hard-to-find Endor Princess Leia, C-3PO, Luke, Han Solo and Wicket Ewok minifigures Isn't the Han Solo figure the same as the one in the A-wing set? Not really hard to find in my opinion then. Edited June 1, 2013 by Trance89 Quote
kciR Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Wow, this set is awesome! I'm not that much of a Star Wars fan, but this set cotains so many lovely details. Especially the trees with hidden functions inside (closet for lightsabers, slide, hiding place etc), the bridge and the platform. It can also be extended easily with other sets in the Lego SW line! €250 is al lot of money though, even for a nice set like this.. Quote
imhotep85 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Absolutely love it! Had the potential to be either awesome or awful and it's definitely the former, love some of the little details like the drumming on the storm trooper helmets. Must get saving money! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I'm normally not into playsets, Don't tell me you don't play with your sets Indeed a fantastic set, I think it appeals to me a lot because it's not too sci-fi. Replace the ewoks(and some parts) with forrest men and you've got a medieval tree village! Quote
LukeClarenceVan Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 A very cool set, I actually thought it was someone's MOC the first time I saw it. Unfortunately a bit out of my price range, I hope Bricklink sellers stock up so I can nab some of those brown flex tubes. Quote
drdavewatford Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 What a great job the designers have done with this - nice to see such an interesting, original design. Can't wait for this one ! D. Quote
Leewan Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) Very nice set ! That's impressive, I especially like the SNOT trees, or the little bridge. EDIT : And I love the picture of Han smiling while being "cooked". Edited June 1, 2013 by Leewan Quote
Speedboat Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Just...WOW! The minifigs, the building techniques, everything about this set is stunning. Can't wait to get this set and build it, for me this is by far the most exciting LEGO news this year. Quote
Maximillian365 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 It's so iconic!!! I've never seen a Star Wars set that is as articulate as this one! You get all the minifigures you need, all the weapons and vehicles plus iconic movie functions and heaps more! Despite its price, it's truly a great set!!! Quote
Anio Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 The most amazing Star Wars set I've ever seen for years... The model is awesome. I can already imagine how many childs will dream about such a model... Quote
kermit Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) Just an amazing set I am definitely picking up two of these , however i do have 2 cons though. I wish leia had printed legs instead of that paper thing on her waist, also I hoped we would of gotten an at-st too given the price point and lastly I was hopping for the trees to be a bit taller. XimenaPaulina Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 The designer (marcosbessa) really did an exemplary job on this lovely Ewok Village! You could see how this is a work a brilliant MOCer coming from the AFOL community with all the clever building techniques we haven't seen before (rope walkbridge, the convincingly organic-looking huge trees, etc.) while meeting the building standards of a LEGO set. Unfortunately for me the price is out of my budget range, and with other amazing sets around, I would have to skip this one out. But great for those who will get it for their LSW collection. Now I wonder how OT fans who hated didn't like ewoks in ROTJ feel about this set... Quote
The JMC Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Amazing set! Even better then I thought it was going to be and with 17 minifigs to boot! I'm loving all those unique ewoks and all the play features (even though I don't really play with my sets :P). Quote
gandalf the brick Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I'm suprised that this set costs more than orthanc despite being a smaller set ( probably the huge figure count ) That said this is an amazing set. Nice to see something new, not just ships and vehicles. My money is going to orthanc though so I probably won't be buying :( Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Has anyone noticed that Han is happy to be roasted over an open fire ? The detail in this design is fantastic, all the hidden places and that slide idea is almost too much.......price tag is a little high but for those exclusive minifigs.....it will be cheaper to buy the set then to get three of the exclusive minifigs alone. Dragonfire Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 This is mind-blowing. I only wish I had £250 to spend freely...I'll have to bricklink Teebo, Wicket, the Ewok Warrior and that new Leia immediately. A very movie-accurate Luke too. Quote
Anio Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Well, it appears to me to be the best SW model since the UCS Millenium Falcon in 2007... Quote
Chilis Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I have never bin a StarWars "geek" or collector of any kind but THIS awesome set might get me closer to be one. No doubt I will get one or two of this set! I bit pricey for a non-SWfan but this was just... omg... Quote
