Your defense, however, was noted and it isn't a solid defense. The Scum, especially those with prior experience, would be likely to advise each other to not obviously take all the good pills so that a pattern would not emerge. So... sorry. Dammit, this is my mistake again. I saw the NPC post that the Royalty Pill and the ZubZub Pill were placebos, and then I saw someone take the Royalty Pill, so I figured I would grab ZubZub. I belatedly realized that it wasn't on the list. Sorry, that was just plain stupid of me. I'm looking through the thread now trying to find an available placebo. If I were scum then of course I would advise my teammates to not jump on the Mystery Pill first thing. But I would've advised them to at least take it at some point. And nobody took the Mystery Pill yesterday, it was randomly assigned. Between the two people it could've been assigned to, Snake Charmer (DarthPotato) and the Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam), the Cultist was town. If I were scum, why would I let the God Pill be randomly assigned, especially when it could've ended up going to a Townie?

Because none of those rules are good for the Town. And you picked the worst one. Even if we couldn't come up with two lynch candidates, what if we had a situation where it was a Scumbag's word against a Townie's word? Some people would agree with one and other people the other and even if the truth came out, both would've been lynched. Besides that, you wouldn't want the God Pill back in Scum hands because once the Town figured out what it did, the pattern would be easily seen.
mostlytechnic Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 No need to quote everybody, but I'm still 50/50 on stump. I can see his arguments, but it's not solid and confirmed yet in my mind either way. I agree with hinck that all the god options were crappy for town and stumpy took the worst. And his dispute with the reveal plan was justifiable either way too - town legimately should have questioned and discussed and scum would have been opposed. More importantly, for today... I don't see a better option to vote against than Snake. I'd rather keep the pill around, but it's not critical and I don't see anyone other than him getting lynched unless we get solid evidence against the serial killer.

I will say again, my thinking was that this rule didn't risk giving scum players an unfair advantage but still let the Town use its lynch. Don't take this to mean that I don't understand your argument against the rule, because I see your reasoning, but nevertheless that is what was going through my head when I got the pill result. The point of these rules, as you said, is that they are all bad for the town; it's a crapshoot. Maybe I made the worst possible choice in picking that rule, but I chose it with good intentions and luckily enough, it ended up working out for us. The God Pill makes you unkillable and unlynchable. Regardless of what rule you choose, it's a damn good pill to have regardless of whether or not you are Town or Scum. Someone is going to get the God Pill and choose a rule anyway. If I were scum, I would not have let a pill that would make me or one of my teammates both unlynchable and unkillable slip through my fingers.

You were detrimental to the town with your pill option and you're being reactive not proactive and your defenses hinge on faulty logic ("If I was scum, why would I let the pill that is always detrimental to the town even when used by a townie fall into town hands?"). Doctor, you're favorite posts are long summaries with lots of quotes that look helpful but don't actually do anything for the town, and you tried to turn the Male Lover lynch around when a bandwagon formed. Whoever is not revealing their pills is Scum. Chances are the Scum know which it is and I'm really afraid that either their blocker or killer have it. We have to figure out who has the pill they're not revealing so our Town blocker knows who to target. Here's my Pill Spreadsheet with the info on who revealed which pill today: The only "blank" I have is the Riot Pill, unless I missed on its revelation today (I did check twice the whole game thread today), so is that the other Upper? Note that both players who took the Riot Pill, Piratedave84 and Bob, never made an effort to share their pills' effects (both their previous pills).

You forced us to lynch two players and then did nothing to voice any opinion about who should be lynched or even attempt to achieve some clarity on the lynch candidates. You kind of just sat back and watched and only answered to accusations aimed at you. Scummy... The God Pill makes you unkillable and unlynchable. Anyone here can read Bloodbrick II where the Scum team tried to keep pills amongst themselves and failed and that took out half of the team. If I were scum, all of these things would be running through my head and I would advise one of my teammates to quietly take the pill. Couple details I noticed - I didn't reveal mystery pill since I didn't know it. I might have quoted hinck or someone, but I didn't know till others made it public. I have riot as placebo and revealed by piratedave. I have zub as placebo, but don't remember why. Hinck said alto was a downer.

Yes, great points about a person being unkillable and unlynchable, but this early in the game, the Scum may really not want that powerful pill to fall in their hands twice. Perhaps you meant for the Scum to stay away from it but then lazy-pants Snake Charmer couldn't muster the energy to pick a pill, so he got stuck with it. My thinking when it comes to fake votes is, "Would I be confident in placing a real vote for this person? Would I be confident in lynching him or her?" That's why I poked Bob instead of fakevoting him. In hindsight this policy feels a tad Draconian, and I now realize that maybe adding pokes into the mix will generate needless confusion. Speaking of fake votes, I believe that the Godfather (Kadabra) placed one for me earlier, and it appears to be missing from your "here's where we stand" lists. This recalls the whole quality vs. quantity debate from earlier (though I will remind the Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam) that the rules require him to post in every day thread). I had wanted to hear (or, uh, read) what he has to say before passing judgement on him. Honestly, it'd take a damn good post from him to set my mind at ease, and I don't foresee that coming. Let's see. First thought, and I've only been thinking about this for five minutes or so, not the full 48 hours that The Tree Stump had. (Since I assume it came in with the Night Actions). The thinly veiled "I've been talking to someone who has the God Pill and these are the options..." In public or private that's a way to get an opinion from someone. We have to realize that The Scum will know the effects much faster than the Town. The Tree Stump has spent a good time arguing what he wouldn't want to do with the pill if he were Scum and finally adds that he wanted to keep it out of Scum hands only when provoked about why he didn't discuss it with anyone. Early on the scum have little fear of town working together since we don't know who each other are yet! So why not let the best pill go to town early to divert suspicion - and with so many town they can just wait like you said.

While it's true that we still need the blocker claim (get your lazy butt out here, blocker! ), it is not true that we need the role cop. Why? Because the role cop is dead. How do I know? Because the Universal Backup (who is confirmed town) received a message from the Werewolf after night 1 that the role cop was dead (I assume it was originally def) and that he was allowed to take the role if he wanted to. I'm not going to say whether he did or not. Sorry guys. However, after my plea for those PRs, ~somebody~ claimed role cop to me. Guess who it was. Guess. Unvote: Snake Charmer while I'm at it. Everyone else, please do the same.
