Holodoc Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I got home very early on Sunday, had a nice afternoon with my wife and kids and fell asleep around 8 p.m. Right know I'm a bit amazed that I'm not more tired... I'm working right now (emergency stand by service all night long), but with a little luck, there will be time to build the 42006 Excavator. Thank you all for some great 5 days and especially Grogall for the nice trip around Munich. It's always nice to have a picture of the EB members and to add some more people to the friends list. My BS-folder will be filled in the upcoming hours. EDIT: Done! Here are some examples: L-R: Snefroe, Cecilie, ace, Peppermint_M, Rufus clicking on this picture leads to a bigger version. From the left to the right: Ecclesiastes, Snefroe, Ace, Miss Kyle, Redhead1982, Steven, LasseD, Bonaparte, Quarryman, Cecilie, Pandora, Scubacarrot, Copmike, Peppermin_M, Calanon, Cwetqo, Rolli, Grogall, Dfenz, eiker86, Teddy and his wife Petra, Vincent Kessels. Kneeling in front: Aredhel, Rufus, Holodoc. And our faces say it all! Quote
Calanon Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Damn, Quarry and I are kinda hidden! Great pics, can't wait to see the rest. Quote
Holodoc Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 One advice: If you can't see the lens, your face will be hidden on the photo! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 It was great meeting old friends and meeting new friends. We haven't seen any stau. That may be because we arrived at 6 AM on Sunday morning (+/- half a hour). After a couple of hours sleep, frantically building, and another couple of hours, I just arrived in Chicago. I can't wait for Brickworld. Ps. Both suitcases were 22 kg, mostly LEGO Quote
Calanon Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 One advice: If you can't see the lens, your face will be hidden on the photo! Well I could... but then Cwetqo ran in front of me! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 It is said by everyone, but I agree it was a great event. Thanks everyone for making it so much fun! I hit 220 Its nice to drive in Germany (when there is no stau, which is rarely) Not when you drive at night. And our faces say it all! They do indeed! Ps. Both suitcases were 22 kg, mostly LEGO Nice! See you wednesday, can't wait for Brickworld either. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 What the hell am I doing here? "Loser"? Quote
Si-MOCs Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 clicking on this picture leads to a bigger version. Kneeling in front: Aredhel, Rufus, Holodoc. And our faces say it all! There seems to be a disproportionate amount of LEGO bags infront of Rufus/Pandora and Cecilie... Just saying very jealous of you guys. Looks like great fun. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Don't worry, I look funnier on the yellow water skies. What the hell am I doing here? "Loser"? Edited June 10, 2013 by Redhead1982 Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Don't worry, I look funnier on the yellow water skies. In the picture above it looks like you are having a rave while going round in circles.... That Eurobricks event looks great,I look forward to seeing some more pic's. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 This was one of the few attractions I tried twice, so I guess it's obvious. In the picture above it looks like you are having a rave while going round in circles.... Quote
Cwetqo Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) So its ok to post some extra pics here? (please send me pm if you want some of the pics removed)Bavaria was under water (this hotel used to have nice terrace): Waiting for train to Munich. Ride was long, but also nice, relaxed time for chat. Meeting on a highest level - Copmike, Holodoc and Bonaparte Some sightseeing (Munichs new Townhall) Our guide was (famous) Grogall: Lunch in palace garden: Some trading going on Well deserved rest at another palace garden (after long valk) Dinner at Munichs largest Biergarten (6000 seats). VERY nice place and best beer in town (in proper size glasses). Off to Passing LEGO store. Manager Heiko giving us special insider tour. Edited June 13, 2013 by GRogall one picture removed on request! Quote
Cwetqo Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Day 3: Trying out some attractions: Holodoc after striking back with water cannon: Even in Miniland they have accidents (nice to see trains are made). We also got special "behind stage" tour of parks largest attraction (and guided tour of miniland before that): There were some stairs... Nice view: Going also inside the cave: Celebrity VIP transport: Another Bier Garden (and nice one to): Traditional Rat Spit competition. Victory (again) went to Holodoc. Each night we built lego: And sorted bricks: Competition officials: 2x4 creations: Sunday, before drive home. There was no space left in the boot for regular luggage, just lego: Quote
GRogall Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Great seeing all those pictures , have to admit it was a great time all around! Quote
Legogal Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 Wow, Thanks! Some great photos! Looks like you had a great time in Munich, too. Really pleased with the PAB parts in the Park because they had such a wide variety of cool parts even after the group cleaned them out! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Is it normal to be so tired after the event? I hardly think about anything else than Lego. Quarry, the photographer was caught in a nice pose. It's like they were expecting us, and they increased their stock. And it's not like we cleaned them out - just took few kgs. Wow, Thanks! Some great photos! Looks like you had a great time in Munich, too. Peppermint_M Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 You know, I'm going to have to practice the rat spitting for next year, if Holodoc really has retired the contest is open again Quote
Pandora Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 You know, I'm going to have to practice the rat spitting for next year, if Holodoc really has retired the contest is open again Ah yes, but next year will be Billund, and if Morten comes the competition will be difficult again! And has Holodoc truly retired?? Great pictures everyone! We had such an amazing time meeting you all (again, or for the first time), and I'll echo Ru's thanks to CopMike, Holodoc, Bonaparte and GRogall for all their organisation and effort into making this a hugely fun Event! Now really looking forward to Billund next year! Quote
Rufus Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Not when you drive at night. I'll echo this. No cats' eyes! We missed our turning on the way there and I had to do a crazy reversing-up-the-slip-road manouevre. Quote

As a Highways Engineer I both cringe away at the lack of cats eyes but whistle with appreciation at the distinct lack of potholes! Anyway: So people, MOAR PHOTOS!!! Quote
Cwetqo Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Just for you: :) There should be a lot of photos (according to the number of photographers): The mouth of Saur...errrr...."Dschungel express). Nothing to see here... Or is it? Waiting for... who was it this time? Just a little light pouring out... and sound of bricks being assembled: Teddy doing arhitecture run: 'fenz family. Nice to see whole family commited to bricks! Slovenian crew (If you will be anywhere near please do call). Thats it for now. I have some more at home, but nothing special. Quote
Dfenz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Hubby asked if there were ANY LEGO left for sale in the Park by the time yall cleared out....it looks as if the Benz family from Ireland and the fifty bags or so of LEGO they purchased are not in the photo. Great group photo must have been on Saturday because a few actually changed shirts on Day Three! I'm in the group photo. Bfenz and the children were still in the park as we were on a slightly different schedule. We hadn't yet picked up the bags from the bag collection point - its amazing what a 20% off coupon will do to attract eventee Fabrik PAB bags at just the right time at the checkout till! More than half the bricks were for other eventees! We didn't get home until after midnight on Sunday and I've yet to tackle that LOTR Orthanc Tower that some of us picked up. Well done to the organisation team for everything from the accommodation selection to the quiz. Bring on Billund 2014. Quote
snefroe Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I was home at about 6 pm on Sunday... the weather was really bad when 'doc, Bony, Steven, Dana and I drove back home, so I guess we were lucky with this fantastic weather the days before. it seems we always have great weather at an event (remember the sunny weather in Windsor two years ago) when it's not in Billund... And I won the quiz! yoohoo!! thanks every one for a really great event and see you next year! Quote
Kim Thomsen Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Looks like great fun - Billund next year, eh? Quote
